New rumours about new flights the BRU
There is a Pakistani (PIA ?) company that has a request to do 20 flights a week to and from the US with a stopover in BRU instead of MAN. They will use 747 and 777 equipment.
It's already the second time this year I heard something about this request. Let's hope it's true

I agree with you! I am not an expert but I think the Pakistani population is very big in England (certainly in such a big city as Manchester). weird news... But if it would be true we can enjoy those nice 747's and 777's. 8)yabu wrote:just wondering, why would they change the stop in Manchester to a Stop in Brussels? I find it a weird change if they woulkd do it. Anyway i would love to see it happen. A nice 777 of 747 at Bru would be great.

CRL to TMP???
As you discuss new connections from BRU. I've heard some rumors here in Finland that FR could start flying from CRL to TMP. Are they just rumors or maybe somebody heard something about it?

Thats right, PIA jets (that fly to the UK and US EVERY DAY) are high risk. Ridiculous statement. Note the shoe bomber flew AA, all the stopped Saudi flights and Washington flights were BA and all the 9/11 planes were US based. PIA have been flying all over the world for years with little or no problems so get a grip.
Is this for real? Can we do something about the idiotic generalistic undercurrent on this site?

I flew a few years ago with PIA from FRA to YTO via WAS.
It was the cheapest fare I could find at the time.
And I must say the service quality was in tune with the western best standards.
From my point of view, it certainly was the best quality/price ratio you could ever hope for.
As everybody in the airlines business knows, the pakistanese flag carrier PIA enjoys a good brand in the world market.
Welcome PIA ! There is business in BRU !

Don't think we can do anything against this other than get used to this. Apparently Fons has a problem with all things arabic and or muslim. Very narrowminded if you ask me... I already asked before to keep stuff like this out of the forums but without result, as you can see...chunk wrote: Thats right, PIA jets (that fly to the UK and US EVERY DAY) are high risk. Well said that man. Back to the discussion at hand....Stoney wrote:Don't think we can do anything against this other than get used to this. I remember when I was a kid in the early 1980's my grandparents were flown out to visit us in Dubai. Since PIA were the cheapest (by miles) my father got them tickets....and what a surprise.
They said it was fantastic - and they had previously flown to DXB on BA only - becasue they were the only two 'senior' citizens on the plane they were given free upgrades to business class and given seats upstairs in the 747 from Heathrow...after they had taken their allocated economy seats! Happened on the way back as well!
No idea what they are like nowadays and never need to fly on them so will probably never find out!
