Spotting in Palma de Mallorca

Post by glabbi »

Hello spotter friends

I went to dusseldorf today.
Too bad the wetter was not good and I didn't make a lot of pictures.
So I went to the stand of Air Berlin and I have booked a flight to
Palma de Mallorca.
I'm going to Mallorca from 15/07 until 17/07.
Can somebody give me some more information about the spotpossibilitys there.

Thank you
Glabbi

Hello glabbi,

First of all, welcome to Luchtzak. I've been in Palma de Mallorca a few years ago and I must say it's worth a visit.

Some useful websites about PMI:

http://fly.to/pmi
spotting information and pictures

http://www.aena.es/ (Choose airport... Palma de Mallorca)
official website

Enjoy your trip

@sicilianfalcon: I don't know since when.. but these are the things that I heard and read.... A lot of the mediterranean Countries are very scpetical towards spotters (Italy, Greece, ...)

Well, as far as I know, planespotting isn't a crime

I've never had any problems with the Spanish authorities. Airport security and police regularly passed by but never asked me to leave.

About the hotels ... Hotel Helios has some rooms with airport view.
(I have no personal experiences as I stayed in another hotel, too far away from the airport :( )

Greetzzz,
Kristof

Not frowned upon in Italy or anywhere in Italy I have been which is a hell of alot of the airports. Apprently I read somewhere it is illgeal to take pictures of aircraft in Italy but this doesnt seem the case. Ive sat and photographed many aircraft in many airports with the Caribinieri (Military Police Wing) Sitting right by me, Even talkign with some.

I think with that whole stupid incident with the greek authority which was nothing less then idiotic on their behalf, has people confused. Far as im awhere most of the med is cool on it :D

:D Forza
