Want to fly on TUI Airlines/Euro Atlantic TriStar - pls help

Post by Airsicknessbag »

Hi all,

I would like to get a TriStar flight into my log.

Now, I realised, Euro Atlantic´s CS-TEB is doing flights for TUI Airlines Belgium from BRU to the Caribbean. Knowing that TUI Airlines Belgium´s flights are very easily bookable (even as flight only) through the web, I sense an opportunity for me here. The Caribbean is so much nicer than Kinshasa as a holiday destination

My question to you, who are presumably quite familiar with BRU ops, is, if I book a flight from BRU to PUJ/POP/CUN/VRA, with a TUB flight number through http://www.jetonly.be , will that be a TriStar for sure? If not, is there a pattern which flights on which days are L10 operated and which are not? How long is CS-TEB (a stopgap measure, as I understand) going to stay at TUI Airlines Belgium? I would hate to spill out my hard earned money only to find myself on a boring 767.

By the way, a direct inquiry at TUI Airlines Belgium didn´t yield any results.

Thanks for your help.

Daniel :)

Today the flight to Cancun via Varadero is operated by a 767-300 from EuroAtlantic so no Tristar maybe the Tristar will come back but when ?

On 26/01 the CS-TEB will normally be on schedule to POP/PUJ etd 1400, returning the day after. On Thursday there is no long haul TUB flight. Hard to say when their own OO-TUC will be operational, but today it was rolled out the hangar with anticollisions light on, so perhaps a breaktrough?

More info to be found in spotters database.

I believe OO-TUC was rolled out of the hanagr to make room for an other a/c that needed inspection.
The lights are turned on when towing the aircraft.

Thanks for that, skystef, that´s mighty interesting.

Is there some place on the web to know this or is it "insider information"? How far in advance do you know this? Do you happen to have information for the same flight a week later?

Thanks for your help!

Glad to be of help, unfortunately this kind of info is inside news, and only a few days in advance. If you point a date, I'll seen what I can do, but there are no 100% for sure guaranties being a Tristar on TUB duty. "Grounded" OO-TUC seems to have a lot of problems and still has to make at least one test flight.

For example today, CS-TLM was scheduled to fly monday, tuesday and today...but last minute TUI leased a 767 from Holland Excell...so you can never be sure...

Indeed, but CS-TLM was not intended to do TUB job on 26/01.Yesterday it became evident that CS-TEB seemed to have "a little trouble" getting to BRU, so decision was made PH-MCV would do the job and stayed overnight @ BRU after the Belgium Excel duty.

Btw CS-TLM is on the TUB schedule on 28/01, PH-MCV for HXL.
