SNBA doesn't want me :(

Post by A318 »

Just received a letter from SNBA.
Even I am very qualified for the position SNBA doens't want to continue the procedure with me, they will keep my CV for 6 months in file. :shakehead:
I am getting desperate already, just 4 to 6 months more and KLM is going to put us on the street

BTW, if someone has a graduate project for a Batchelor Electro mechanics he (or she) can contact me.

Dave

Thank you all for the nice comments, at least that makes me :)
I will keep on trying and I have still some openings with other Airlines all here at Schiphol.
But still, after working for Fokker Aircraft Services, Dutch Airforce and now KLM I can not imagine myself in a "normal" job anymore. That looks so boring to me and makes me really :(
But I have still some months in front of me till the hard day arrives. Anyway if one of you people hear about nice ground positions in the Operations area or IT related or a combination from those two then please let me know, ok?
Hmmmm, I promised Bart 3 pintjes if I should make the position and fly together with him to one of the outside stations, too bad for him also ;)
Happy landings my friends!!!

Erwin,
I am sorry for you. But keep hope: if the Fokkers are built again, you might revert to that former job of yours.
And don't say SNBA does not want you. They want you. On board of one of their planes, as passenger...

Hi,

I don't realy know what you guys are talking about  but I know that BGS (where my dad works) is looking for people. He works with cargo, and I think he said that they are looking for people!

I feel sorry for you too, but as everyone said, Keep on trying! :!: :!:

  For a little misunderstanding
I found out last night when I arrived home that there is a little misunderstanding. Before I applied for this IT position with SNBA I also applied for another position which required a perfect knowledge from french. Since I don't have that perfect knowledge I didn't fit in this position. Funny thing is that I already knew this because of an email I received from SNBA but know they also send this info by normal mail  This letter arrived exactly in the week I expect an answer about the IT position so you can understand the misunderstanding (i hope). This means I am still in a   mood and hope for the best. If I am going to receive a letter about the position I am waiting for I will keep you all posted. At least I know how you people are going to respond when the next letter has the same info as this one and that feels good

By the way, Erwin,

How do you expect SN BA to hire you when you staunchly keep archrival KLM's logo as avatar? ;-)

I hope they dislike the logo as much as you do so they will hire me just to see their logo on that place

I never wrote I disliked the KLM logo. It is a nice and original logo, IMHO. But you'll need to get a nicer one if you ever get to work for SN BA :P

When they hire me I will put the beautiful SNBA logo on that place.
I will definitly not put an old Sabena logo there, I mean that's history

I received a job at BGS, only for weekends, but that's no problem still being a student. But I think DHL is also still looking for people. Perhaps the best is to go to Randstad in the airport building itself.

I applied too

Post by beco »

I applied too for a strategic job as an analyst for SNBA's strategic management committee, but those stupid HR people (who think they know everything) send me the same stupid standard letter.

In fact they should better sack those HR people for taking bad decisions over and over again. I can tell several stories about stupid decisions they have taken in the last few months.

Part II: Since I didn't hear anything anymore from SNBA I decided to contact again the HR department myself by email.
Last friday they send me an email to appologize for the late reaction (probably none if I didn't contact them). The letter said that even they had a very positive conversation with me and that I had a lot of positive qualifications, they didn't want to continue the process with me.
So why did they tell me a week before they upgraded the position to IT system administrator and that it fitted now even more with my experiences and qualifications?????
Just :pang: me, i am nothing more then the messenger!
Too be short, SNBA is also out of the picture now :(
