The revealing of the new A380, 18 Jan

Post by CN-RAM »

Hi everyone

no doubt everyone knows tomorrow is the official reveal ceremony of the A380.

I hear that this will be broadcast on a German cable channel - if anyone knows if this is true and which channel please let me know. It's also being broadcast online at airbus.com however I think that you must be registered to be able to view (I think?).

11:00

- Tony Blair,

Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

- Mr Gerhard Schrِder,

Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany

- Mr José Luis Rodriguez Zapatero,

Yes, I will take a look this summer in Paris-Le Bourget, and if I find the time to go to TLS, I will go there to see the first flight too.

There will also be a live video on the airbus website. I will not insult you by telling the URL of that website...

I know André,

I checked the aviation news and didn't find anything, so I thought to post the BBC link here. The same probably goes for Bits44.

So I put the link you cancelled here:

Go to www.airbus.com to view the live Video (starts at 11:00 GMT + 1)

Only problem can't view the video. I tried in two different browsers. Maybe their server is is running overcapacity with the huge interest.

Can anyone see the video?

I've stopped watching the TV broadcast. I thought I was going to see an airplane, instead there's some pompous twaddle with scenery and costumes going on. Rubbish!

What do you expect  Just showing the plane and everybody goes back home? It's not simple a new car they're presenting :?
