I m starting to like it, even though it ' s not the most attractive aircraft I have to admit that it looks great and it's so huge. Can't wait to see it fly.

Nice to meet you A380!

Nice birdie!

It seems it already has the new airbus-colours, but that they are covered... I'm starting to get very curious now :-)

your right, i think it will be the colors like that wallpaper. Well as Boeing chose a new livery for its planes Airbus couldn't stay with their old one. I expected a new livery and looks like my thoughts were right. Looks nice but i cant wait to see it in full colors. To bad its only still new colors on the tail. In front behind the cockpit probably the normal colors. In black A380-800. Well still a fine looking bird and i cant wait to see the ceremony the 18th january and its first pic's when i conquers the sky.

New livery? At least Boeing knows how to paint an airplane, just replacing the tail colours with different colours, isn't really that WOW...

Foggy conditions at TLS on 07.01

Post by ILS25L »

Goodevening,
I was at TLS yesterdaymorning hoping to see the A380 somewhere outside but the more I approached the airport, the more it started to get foggy.
Had the opportunity to see 2 new companies and types for me :
JetBlue A320
http://coppermine.luchtzak.be/displayim ... ?pos=-4109
Tiger Airways A320
http://coppermine.luchtzak.be/displayim ... ?pos=-4111
The rest was usual traffic as a local spotter told me (AF A320, Easyjet A319,etc...) and a view of the A380 was impossible due to the fog.
After 2 hours waiting and hoping for the fog to dissapear, I headed back to the coast but not without visiting Carcasonne-(Ryanair)-airport. I didnot see a Ryanair 737 but nailed those 2 nice things :
Armee de Terre Pilatus :
http://coppermine.luchtzak.be/displayim ... ?pos=-4110
PrivatAir A319 D_APAA :
http://coppermine.luchtzak.be/displayim ... ?pos=-4112
Hoe to have more luck next time with the weather (and planes) at Toulouse.
Greetz, Karl

Does anyone have an estimate on the date this bird is going to make it's first flight?

Is that an aircraft or a very big truck? I can already imagine fighter pilots' comments on this new aircraft :D

Although it's nice to see a new aircraft (generation), this one really looks big. One can only admit that the 747 looks better. But nevertheless I still would like to see some of these heavies wherever I come.

If all goes well, first flight should be on March 31st.

Unfilled seats

Post by bits44 »

Overcapacity becoming a huge issue in 2005

This article highlights some of the concerns facing carriers around the world, and in particular users who have ordered A380's. the overcapacity in the market is a huge problem, and with carriers cutting fares left right and centre, they may have a big challenge filling seats. This may be why there are no new orders for A380's, the market seems to be leaning to small efficient direct route carriers in the 250-300 seat range.

Well it's all very subjective. But for me the B747 will stay the most beautiful plane. Its silhouette is just wonderful.

This being said, I start liking the A380 more and more and find it a nice plane as well, but as far as looks are concerned the B747 stays ahead.
Miracle to make such a thing fly
It's not a miracle ;)
