Even Jet Airways, Indian Private Domestic Carrier Helped along side Indian Airlines.
Also as Brother Fons puts it, We were discussing the USS Abraham Lincoln
http://luchtzak.be/postt7899.html&sid=5 ... 5b2d9a7dc6
on Tuesday and they decide to help on Thursday and sprung into action only on Late Friday.
If they can produce 90,000 gallons of fresh water everyday, did they need an invitation from the tsunami affected areas to help them.

Fons, Advisor, André,
Please maybe JetB has a point here. Stand still for a moment with all your good intentions to inform people.
Maybe someone in his family, friends, is lost or even died in this tragedy.

KLM DONATES CARGO CAPACITY TO DUTCH RELIEF ORGANIZATIONS
AMSTELVEEN, December 30, 2004 - KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is donating cargo capacity to the Samenwerkende Hulporganisaties (SHO), a coalition of major relief organizations in the Netherlands, facilitating the transportation of 20,000 kilos of relief supplies to disaster-stricken areas in Southeast Asia. Capacity will be made available aboard KLM Cargo’s scheduled service to Singapore, which will make a special intermediate landing in Medan on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. This relief aid is part of the KLM AirCares charity program (www.aircares.nl)
The flight, scheduled for January 3, will be operated by one of KLM Cargo’s Boeing 747 freighters. Because the airport at Medan does not have the equipment required to unload an entire Boeing 747 freighter, the relief shipment will be transported in the belly of the plane, instead of on the main deck.
KLM and relief organizations are currently discussing the establishment of further temporary air services that optimally serve the needs of the stricken area. This would imply that KLM’s scheduled cargo services would have to make intermediate landings at as-yet-unspecified airports in Asia.
KLM AirCares intends to increase relief aid to Asia in 2005, by raising additional funds for projects supporting children in need in the stricken areas.
In November 2004, KLM AirCares ran a special campaign raising 1.2 million Frequent Flyer Miles for the relief organizations it has supported over the past five years. KLM subsequently doubled the number of Miles, bringing the total to 2.5 million.
Over the past five years, AirCares has supported the following organizations: the Netherlands Red Cross, UNICEF, Terre des Hommes, Novib, Esperanza do Brazil, War Child, the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund, the KNCV Tuberculosis Fund, Children's HeartLink, COCO, Close the Gap, Right To Play, the Liliane Fund, Wings Of Support, the Make-a-Wish Foundation, Pilots Without Borders, STOP AIDS NOW, Memisa/Cordaid, the Johan Cruyff Foundation, and SOS Children’s Villages.
