China Freezes new Aircraft purchases
Moderator: Latest news team
If the Chinese goverment do decide to freeze new aircraft orders for 2005, this may come as blow to both Airbus and Boeing, which are trying to gain some new orders for the A350 and 7e7.
Acording to the Seattle Post Boeing stocks dropped 2.4% at midday trading on the NYSE

I understand that this freeze will not affect the order of 7E7's already under discussion with the Government of China, that were started in 2004.BP wrote:If the Chinese goverment do decide to freeze new aircraft orders for 2005, this may come as blow to both Airbus and Boeing, which are trying to gain some new orders for the A350 and 7e7.

Chinese order delay
I have found this all a bit hard to figure out. It seems to me they are talking deliveries, not orders, but keep mentioning orders.
They will notbe able to do anything about next years deliveries anyway, and deliveries of either the 7e7 or 350 are years away.

With the wake of China Aviation Oil Blunder and things going out of hand, i feel that this is the main reason they are with holding back to ensure that China's reputation does not take a beating.
Also, we hear that Air China now controls China Aviation Oil.
