Post by Lamal »

Hi,
In the chrismas holidays, I'm going for the first time to EHAM.
Can someone give me some hints for good pictures?
Would be very nice.

A good spot to go to once you're at EHAM would be the Kaagbaan.
You can see the Cargo Apron from overthere and almost 90% of the other traffic, unless the Kaagbaan isn't in use. But most of the time she is in use.

You can take shots like this one from there:

Hi,
on this site "http://www.aircolours.com" you can find a good map. Just go to "photo spots" and you will find everything you need.
My favorite is 7D. This is a great place when runway 36L is in use for take off. The planes are lining up just in front of you. Go there in the afternoon otherwise you will have the sun in front of you.
Have fun!
Greetings,
Wim

More usefull AMS/EHAM information can be found here:

http://www.schipholview.nl/

http://www.scramble.nl/

I have been to AMS/EHAM several times (it's my spotting-homebase), and you always will have a good time there, enough nice (regular) planes to capture.

Anyway, have fun at the TristarHQ of the world!

Maybe B744Skipper meant that it has been known as the TRISTAR HQ OF THE WORLD.

Anyway, good luck spotting. Do share the pictures with us.

@ Advisor

Surely the Tristar capital would have been either Miami or Atlanta (Eastern A/L & Delta respectively)

Dear Lamal,

I think B744skipper came with the best site to know where to make good pictures.

I am talking about the schipholview website.

There is this link that gives a nice overview of where to be. :)

Hi Airwolf,

Maybe you'll have some luck at airliners.net.

I went spotting that day and Schiphol East was crowded with lots of KLM aircraft. Nice to see.
