Unless I'm very much mistaken, it's been just over 3 years since Sabena collapsed...

Who can confirm that the first flight will be on January 10th??

I read on the new website that the flightnumber for the flight to Africa is HXL (Holland Exel).
This means that HXL must have a commercial permit from both countries (belgium and the africa ones) for operating such a flight (as a Dutch airline). Even, the Dutch authorities must give HXL a permit to operate a flight between Belgium and the africa countries).

Who can confirm that HXL has obtained the permits???
Or will they operate via the Netherlands (like some flights at this moment from Belgium Exel)??

Sorry guys but I stopped believing in a concept like BEAP...It takes to long to start-up and it even takes longer to provide us some reliable information about fares and commercial...

Can somebody really be honest and tell me if he or she still believes in this project and WHY????

I had a great thrust in all those "professional" people working all those years to realize and build a "Belgium Aviation Pride",but all my thrusts faded away when I heared that Exel Aviation was involved....
How can a new airline be taken serious if they do their business like Beap does....And still some of you are so blind to believe in it...
Well dearest ones,my mother always told me to believe in something, but when I hear this,I prefer to believe in myself!!!

This is indeed becoming a soap now: postponed again, from 10th January to mid February
(source: Flemish newspaper Gazet van Antwerpen).

If somebody wants to know why: "negotiations with HXL are more difficult then expected".

If it's Tuesday, this must be Belgium.

It is indeed a big joke....
I have a question : who are those beap people surviving since 2002 ??
Are they paid and by wich company ?Or are they receiving unemployement benefits ??
Very strange...

The flight, planned for 10th January isn't "postponed": it's cancelled.

How many pax had to be rerouted?

Hi everybody.
How can a company work with long haul without a hub!
If they are smart they fly for SN with there aircraft like Birdy.
But alone it's to risky and to make a hub in Africa it will ask you to much money.

Hello folks!

Is this what looks like the First BEAP operated Holland Exel plane (under
a Holland Exel airline code)?

09/01 17:45 Lome HXL 904 763
via Bamako

Could be . Since BEAP was planning to fly to Bamako(?).

Best regards: Yannick ;)

Cancelled and now..?

Post by Drago »

OK, thkx for info.

I did read that BEAP flights were postponed untill 10-1. So that sounds logical.

But is there another flight planned this week?

Hi mates,

I've just read an interesting article in yesterday's Le Soir (unfortunately this article is unavailable on-line). It states that BEAP's maiden flight is postponed untill further notice. There is water in the gas inside BEAP itself.

In fact one of BEAP's founders left BEAP to create the same project (BRU-LFW). BEAP now says that this former Sabena captain made a copy-paste of BEAP's business plan !!

Le Soir also added that the negociations with Holland Exel are stopped as well as HLX is in deep trouble (even to keep its Belgian charter ops alive).

IMO, all this BEAP project is a "wet firework" from the beginning on anyway...

The problem seems not to find a crew, but an aircraft.

Note: I'm trying to demonstrate that in AirFonske, in the Luchtzak Pub
