What Would You Like to Fly On?
What aircraft would you most like to fly on? Any kind - current or vintage commercial, military or general.
I would have loved to fly on a TriStar and a Fokker jet, as I have been on the Fokker props. Currently I would love to fly on a CRJ, they are just superb!

Always nice to fly an MD-11.
Luckely I did in August on honeymoon.
A B747-400 will be pleasing as well, I think.
And off course the A380-800

Good to see support for the 747-400, it is a great aircraft, and my favourite Boeing type. I have flown on them, and the noise of those RB211 engines at take off is unrivalled. I once sat on the jumpseat in one, the view from the flightdeck was superb.
I would like to fly on the widebody Airbuses as well, if they fly as good as they look they should be quite something. And the MD-11 is excellent, but more often seen as a freighter now.

This is a though question, I would like to fly every civil aircraft type.
But there are some which I would like to fly very much, like:
- B747, every type, because I love the Boeing 747, which is my favourite aircraft (who would have expected that
).
- The DC-10 and the MD-11, these are superb aircraft, and the possibilities to fly on it are getting slimmer every day.
- The Boeing B737-100 and the Boeing B737-200, because I have never flown these dinosaur B737's
I think these are the types I wan't to fly the most, but I could go on for hours like this.

Well I would like to fly on a A318, A319, A320 or A321 since I hear so many good stories about them. However all my flights inside europe are always done with Boeings. I do like them but I want to experience myself the difference between the 737 and A3**.
Now I am talking abou that I would also like to experience the A330-200 so I can compare it with the A340, as you know my expereicne with that plane was not good at all.
Greetz,
Erwin

I have flown in both the A319 and the A320, as well as the 737. I prefer the Airbus models, I don't feel very confident or safe in the 737 after an unpleasant incident. The A320 is a comfortable aircraft, and the legroom can be quite reasonable, but that depends on the carrier. I liked the AF ones, though the seats could have been a little cleaner! The leather seats on the SNBA A319s are a real treat, and I can recommend anyone to fly on one of those.

For me it would have to be,[ this isn't in order of favoritism] the A340 series, the A380, the 747-400's, the 777 series & the 737-200's

I have flown in the 747-400's, the 777's & the 737-200's; the 737-200's are a mighty plane

Just because you had an"unpleasant incident" in one 737, that doesn't mean to say you need to regard the 737 as an unfortunate plane; it is like saying all Volvo's are bad if you had a crash in a Volvo, it don't work like thatComet wrote: I don't feel very confident or safe in the 737 after an unpleasant incident.

I can see what you mean bigjulie, but it is not so easy to feel happy when you are flying in an aircraft which has experienced engine failure at take off and has to be escorted by fire trucks after landing. But I think even that incident aside, I prefer the A320 types. I had wanted to go on an Airbus for so long and I finally got my chance in 2001, and I loved it
My last ever Sabena flight was in a 737-500 OO-SYG.

Well, I guess I´d have to make a little classification here:
Most comfortable flight: Turkish Airlines A340-300 in Business Class.
Most adventurous flight: Merpati Fokker F27.
Favourite long-haul: Boeing 747-400.
Favourite short-haul jet: Airbus A320.
Favourite turboprop: Fokker 50.
As for golden oldies, I would love to get an opportunity to fly in a Constellation, which is my favourite classic airliner.
I would like to fly in a 777, and I´m very much looking forward to fly in the A380, however I feel that if airlines won´t have any new, revolutionary service in them it would feel like a 747.

That's an interesting way of classifying your answer Levent. I will try and put my experiences into similar categories.
Most comfortable flight - very hard to choose as I have had so many nice flights, but I have to say one ofd the most comfortable was my first ever flight in an A320 because we were on the exit row - extra legroom and a nice window seat as well
Most adventurous flight - any domestic flight I have been on in Iceland because some of the approaches are very difficult because of miuntains, and the airfields so primitive. The views from overhead are supreme though, and all those flights were in Fokker props, both the 27 and the 50.
Long haul, short haul and props I have already said.
Vintage - another toughie! The Stratocruiser and Super Constellation were superb and luxurious aircraft when they were in service. Then there are the luxurious flying boats, I would like to fly on one of those. I ahve to say the Comet, but the Mark 4 variant, and not the Mark 1 for obvious reasons.

I'll be boring and go for a trip by VC10 (never been in one, I just like the look of them!!)
I think also that a trip on board a Nimrod would be an interesting experience, to see how they go about locating "prey".
And how about a spin with the Red Arrows?
Now that would be a truly exhilarating ride!!!
