The Football Topic

Post by Comet »

Here is a topic about football.

There were two bad results over the weekend:

England 2 Wales 0 (Lady Beckham scored in this so that makes it even worse!)

And the worst result of all:

Spain 2 Belgium 0

It is hard to believe that a football topic has attracted such little interest!

Is football a banned topic on here or something?

Or can't some people take a joke?

You can't expect people to write about football while they "visit" an aviation related site.

Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. That's life...........

Louise,

Chris is right, after all this is an aviation website. Not a sports-website :?

David Beckham is under fire after he admitted he purposely got himself a yellow card (and a suspension) in the recent game against Wales. He said he knew he was injured and wanted to make sure he missed the upcoming game in Azerbaijan.

I would have thought if he was injured anyway he would not have had to get himself suspended to miss a game :?

The rest of the England team are saying it is better that he is suspended for what they think will be an easy game than for one of the tougher opponents.

How many times have football teams come to grief against what they believed would be "easy" opponents? They go out onto the pitch thinking they don't need to make any effort because they will not be beaten, the other team plays like hell and the "favourites" come away with egg on their faces. It has happened so many times.

When do Belgium play again? The newspaper we have here only gives details of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales fixtures.

Belgium does not play today, contrarily to its main opponents. The next game will be on 17 November against Serbia and Montenegro.

At least the Belgians are happy about one thing.
Jestrogoal can't play otherwise we would have an even tougher game to win.
As we still have only 1 point out of 2 games.
With a little more luck Nielsen won't be the ref. As have a problem with Belgian football players. (ref to the last 5 red cards a player of the Belgian national team have got, 4 has been given by Nielsen).

UEFA is not only a maffia that helps bigger teams to win from smaller teams, Nielsen is a big player in that maffia.

If that were true, it would have given a yellow, if not a red card to Van Buyten and a penalty for Spain in our last game.

But true that he was more severe against Belgian players than against the Spanish one. He even obliged all Belgian players to remove all their rings, whereas he did not make the same demand to Spaniards.
The next game will be on 17 November against Serbia and Montenegro.
Great! We will be playing against two countries in one game.

Sorry to go back a few days, but I (well Louise and I actually) am somewhat puzzled. :? :? :?

We thought that the Pub was for non-aviation topics, and that is why Louise has put the football theme on here. She is aware (as I am also) that Luchtzak itself is an aviation forum.

Sorry if I'm appearing ignorant, but I AM confused.

Can you help me out on this please? :?: :?: :?:

Sure, it's okay to talk about football in the luchtzak-pub but don't expect people who visit this website for the aviation-features that they jump in the luchtzak-pub to answer something football-related. You should be more patient ;)

Yes and did you know that Emirates will stop shirt-sponsoring Chelsea next season?

And did you know that Emirates has signed a billion-million €-contract with Arsenal? https://www.aviation24.be/article6006.html

Yes I read about the Arsenal contract, and the naming of Arsenal's new stadium.

Not only Emirates, but Flybe also sponsor football team shirts. I don't know if there are any other football teams sponsored by airlines.

Time for a joint cooperation of VEX-SNBA-Luchtzak to start sponsoring the Red Devils  :devil2:

Or maybe Luchtzak can start smaller: Is there a SK Hofstade or so Bart? 8) If you have some Luchtzak T-shirts left, that would be great! Immagine when they play, all spotters there with their cameras and 500mm zoom

For the regspotters: you can take the regs of the players when they score!

Pieter

Right I'm confused...you want England to lose? And you live in Yaahkshire? I want them to get horsed but I live in Aberdeen so thats allowed.

As it is I am going to combine your footie and beer topics and go the the local for several pints of Carlsberg Export (not Duval, but what is?) and to watch the crappy Scotland team get minced by Sweden...
