I'm not sure but it seems to be the N20VP. Can somebody confirm this ?

I can confirm that the departure airport was not Kortrijk EBKT
there were no flights to Lyon yesterday
unless they made a stop somewhere else and filed a flightplan to lyon
from that airport

registration?

Look at this:

http://www.vrtnieuws.be/nieuwsnet_maste ... index.html

Comparing it with pictures I took at Ostend it seems to be the N20VP(ex OO-RVP). Still this has not been confirmed.

I've placed 2 pictures of the suspected aircraft here:

I hope it isn't true but I am fearing the worst.

Extremely sad indeed; 4 people who will never return home.

The pilot was Roland Van Poucke, co-owner www.huktra.com

Does Mr. Van Poucke had a son called "GERT"?

Sorry Regi, I don't know the family - but I do know that there's a Tim and a Gerd Van Poucke at Huktra.

thank you,

I have known Gerd a long time ago.
They used to live in the Engeledalenlaan, Assebroek, Brugge
Te reason why I referred to Gerd was that I knew his father had a big transportcompany i n Zeebrugge
In a previous post about the airplanes at Ostend, where I referred to Bart Grabiels who crashed during his honeymoon on the Maldives, well, Bart was of the same year and school as Gerd.
Coincidence.

yes group,

it is just confirmed to me that it is indeed the father of Gerd who crashed , together with his mother. I have known these people years ago and all I can say it were genuinly nice people. very sad indeed.
They lived now in Damme, near Brugge.

The two passengers were Raf and Lucy Meire and were long time friends. While it may seem strange that they flew from Belgium to France for dinner, it was one of their great pleasures in life. They will be greatly missed by their friends all over the world.

Roland, his wife Rita and friends flew to La Chassagne to celebrate his birthday. So not just to eat, but to take the weekend. Besides that, an ex-SNmember (and so am I) should understand the fact that some people are bitten by what we call the 'fly-microbe'. Has to be mentionned that Roland was a very very good pilot. He was a member of the Noordzee Vliegclub, as well as Raf Meire.
I felt sad reading the comment of André on this forum on 11/10/2004. It's not only up to professional pilots to fly, on the contrary. And it is definitely not just a 'pastime'.
Sorry if my comment seems a bit strong, no hard feelings, André, but somehow it's rough to make a comment like that after what happened. I can only imagine what his family would feel if they would read this....
For those interested in sending some words of condolence to family and friends from Roland: see gastenboek on www.nzvc.be or visit the Huktra-site.
