Newbie On Board!

Post by FlyEmirates »

Hi All,

I'm a 25 year old Irish guy living in Dubai, U.A.E. I work for Air Bp (British Petroleum) in jet fuel sales to commercial airlines/military. I was based at DXB airport , but then was moved back to our head office :o(

I'm crazy about all aspects of aviation , and was delighted to find this site. It's AMAZING! 8O

I'm so much a professional spotter as you guys , but i love being in and around airports and will keep my eyes open for you all at DXB airport .... its an amazing airport and is just getting started!

I look forward to reading all your posts and maybe sticking a few in myself!!

Ciao
Damian

Welcome to Luchtzak, Damian. We certainly hope to read more from you, especially coming from that exotic place (for us) where you live.

Tanx Andre,

It was pretty exotic when i came here first , but you get used to it after a while, its finally safe to go outside again after the summer heat!! 50 deg C !!

By the way i meant to say i'm NOT a pro spotter , so forgive me for any faux - pas!!

Ciao

That depends on the fact if I need to get surgery on my hand or not. Have some friends flying for air atlanta who are based in Dubay who invited me to come over before the end of the year...

Welcome to the site Damian, I live in Christchurch, New Zealand & Emirates just started flying here in August as EK406/7 via Melbourne, I have seen their A340-500's & they are very impressive planes

Julie those A340-500 ARE impressive , i used to work for Air NZ Cargo in SYD and when i left Oz to come and work here in DXB i flew on one of them ... it was sweeeet!

The smoothest flight i ever had! Well except for that Fokker turboprop that used to fly from Shannon to London ..... SMOOTH!!
