Sorry for those who do not understand the language of Voltaire, but there is also an intersting article in today's La Libre Belgique: an interview of Rob Cuypers on a possible co-operation between SN BA and Sobelair (no progress, not possible under current conditions), the results for this summer (planes to Africa almost full, good load factor in Europe), new routes (confirmation of Mombasa in december, in co-operation with JetAir; decision on nw detinations in eastern Europe in November) and the renewal of the fleet (no decision before the end of the first quarter of 2004).

Those are two very interesting articles.
Since Rob Cuypers is only talking about the loadfactor of july (around 67%) I have to add that SNBA had a loadfactor 57 % in June (link).
That's not bad. The loadfactors are constantly going up. In my opinion it's a very good sign for SNBA. Eventough it'll be a very difficult year the prognosis for the next year are good.
Creating new routes in eastern europe can only make SNBA stronger, because now with the new countries joining the EU there will be lot's of business travel between those countires and BRU.

I read the full article of Trends. Not easy reading, but frightening figures. They could explain what I mentioned in another topic over Sobelair: SN Air Holding would try to buy Sobelair at a discounted price and sell three aeroplanes to refinance itself. For how long?

From what I read in trends, that is not exactly what is happening now. It seems impossible that SN BA could become profitable (when?) and pay their debts by 2006, when they are due.Avro wrote:They should continue like they are doing currently (becoming profitable) and then slowly but surely paying their debts.
