Thanks for this great move you've made Bart. For the moment everything works fine and very fast. :)

Let's hope it stays like that for a long time to go.

Indeed ! The site got much faster and this will cause more traffic as people won't avoid Luchtzak anymore because of low loadingspeed.
Great move Bart !!!

Hi, every anglo-saxon is wondering about the cigar. A certain Bill got in big trouble with a cigar.
What we, Flemish guys mean, guys and dolls, is:
The man did a great job, pay him a big compliment, and imaginary flowers for his wife, as she mustn't have seen much of him this week.
Congratulations on a superb performance, Bart.

A load of the messages from my Birmingham-Brussels-Birmingham thread have gone, but they were here when I checked last night about 9:30pm.

At that time the website was up and running again, but I noticed that the database was 5 hours old. So I tried to install the newest topics and messages but the database became a real mess (messages posted in the wrong forums etc...). I cleaned the database and installed the latest old database on the new server. This to prevent that the old messages of yesterday-afternoon where lost.

In case you miss a few messages resubmit them.

Just noticed that the mailserver needs to have some tweaking as it isn't working right now. So soon you will receive your topic-reply-notifications ;)

The messages are back now, I just said that mine was the last post in Cityguide at 12:52 yesterday when I loaded the Forum Index page. I couldn't have resubmitted the messages myself because they had been posted by Killerwhale and Andre, but I wanted to reply to them!

And now that I have had time to try out the new look for myself, I have to say what a great improvement on the loading and speeds!!

And I've just noticed that the random pictures are back on the homepage - wonderful! I missed them, it was easy to see at a glance when new photos had been added when that feature was working.
