Aeroflot SU 232 due to leave last night at 00.35 to Moscow SVO has been delayed until 16.00. Huge delay for that B737-400. Any idea why?

Thanks, I would have thought the same myself. But not very helpful: I still don't know the actual reason.

Frederic,
you give too much credit. I was off duty and couldn't find any further info.

Normally people get a hotel room to spend the night. All depends on company policy.

is that the co-pilot had become ill upon arrival, so the crew had to wait till a new co-pilot was flown-in ... and to give the rest of the crew enough rest they delayed the flight till late in the afternoon
Regards
