Off course I've made my choice in the poll but I guess it's not necessary to post here what my choice is
I'll be sitting in such plane on August 16 :D

Nope, it was a West-german company. Interflug was not allowed to fly in West-Germany, except during special events like the Leipziger Messe. And Interflug did not own or operate Yak-40s.

To everyone who asked why I didn't put any Russian aircraft on the list: I didn't put it on the list because I figured no one liked the Russian tri-jets. I guess I was wrong  . Anyways I did put 'other' on the list because I figured the rest of the aircraft could could be classified as 'other'.

Btw: why did only one person vote for 'other' when there were so many people that wanted to vote for Russian equipment? :?

I think it's obvious what I voted

But it was harder than that because the 727 is such a beauty too

Definitely the Tupolev Tu-154 for me!
I flew one of Balkan from Amsterdam to Vienna in 1996. Beautiful machine from the outside, nice primitive in the inside. Cracky chairs and open nets instead of closed baggage bins. A normal person would feel unsafe, but I just loved it! I also visited the cockpit: one of those big green labyrinths with lots of Russian abracadabra.

Personally, I like the DC-10 the best. I have some raelly great flights on the DC-10-40s NW used to operate, and in my opinion, it is one of the best looking aircraft out there.
I flew last year with Northwest from AMS to IAD. It was the first time I flew on a DC-10. I can tell you that this flight was the most horrible of my life. First of all the crew was so unfriendly. Even on the trip back the crew was not friendly at all.
But what annoyed me the most was the noise that you have in the cabin during the flight. It was really loud and it gave me such a headache. I was really happy to be back on the ground. These aircraft are just getting to old. Luckely Northwest is putting the DC-10 out of service and replacing them with A330.

It's really sad to see the DC-10 leaving the NW-fleet.
