My first message on this forum
I have a question...I've got myself 2 return tickets from SNBA, 1 for BRU-LHR( 21/08 ) and one for BRU-BCN( 28/08 ). I've noticed that on the ticket for London my birthdate is mentioned right behind my name ( 23/08 ), but it isn't mentioned on the tickets for Barcelona.
Does anyone have any idea why my birthdate is mentioned on the tickets for London?

It is the first time that I hear of a birth date mentioned on an airline ticket.
Are you flying a BA operated or an SN operated flight to LHR on the 21/08. The only reason I could see why the birthday is mentioned on the LHR ticket and not on the BCN one is that you fly BA to LHR. Maybe BA is doing this for everyone.
Don't shoot me if I'm wrong it's just a big guess.

The flight is operated by BA, so that could be the reason....we'll see
perhaps there are some restrictions to your reservation, f.e. if you have a special fare for -26. If it's an online booking, they can only check your date of birth at the check-in.
other possibility: tickets are not endorsable, so by putting your date of birth on the ticket, they're making it more difficult for you to sell the ticket through ebay.be: you may find somebody with the same name who's interested at half price, but you will never find somebody with the same name and the same date of birth.
trust we all know that airlines earn quite something with cancelled bookings. Just look at the airport tax that they've collected but they don't have to pay if the pax doesn't fly.

I think you could be right about the special fare. It is probably a youth fare.
One little remark about the airport taxes: When a pax canceled his reservation, the airline does pay back these taxes on request (at least BA does)...
