There's nowhere to put a padlock on those doors, strangely enough :?

They have something like the kind of lock you would have on your front door, but smaller (with a keyhole bit). The bit where the bolt goes into is there, but the bit which fits in where the keyhole is has been taken out and needs replacing, so we would need a new key and everything. Although we own our flat, the communal areas (such as the entrance hall and mailboxes and fire escapes and outside building) are in the responsibility of an estate agency. If something is wrong or needs fixing we get in touch with the agents and they phone up someone who will come out and fix it. That is what we are waiting for now, they told us it should be next week sometime.

Your mailboxes over there must be built very strongly for that sort of lock & key thingy :?

I suppose they are quite strong really, but it's a miniature version of the lock and keyhole, though the same idea (no handle for the door, just the lock.)

My Mum's just on the phone to the workman who will sort the lock as I type this.

Is this a thread on Luchtzak T-shirts or on Comet's padlocks?

My mailbox issue is very relevant to the tee shirts

I am just saying, quite truthfully, that if the tee shirt hasn't arrived by the time we go on holiday I would be quite concerned because I would not be able to get to our post before the thieving brats who visit the couple on the ground floor can get their filthy hands on it.

We will have to ask the woman in the flat above if she will take in the tee shirt until we get back from Brugge to the thieves cannot get it. And not having any idea when I can expect the tee shirt arriving doesn't help matters in this case. I am expecting a parcel today, but at least I know that, so I can get to the post before any unwelcome visitors do!

I was only answering a bloody comment about why I had mentioned the mailbox issue.

The word is lose not "loose".

Whooops!!!!!

I would have agreed with Louise on that spelling, she has checked her dictionary, and you are right Andre (but "lose" is correct  )

We both now stand corrected, for now!!

I am sorry :( I went :offtopic: , according to some people, about the mailbox , but I think it is very relevent, after all that is where comets t-shirt is going to be delivered to, so if it disappears out off there I think she should be highly annoyed :dammit: , I know I would be if my t-shirt disappeared out of mine :dammit: :dammit: .

Thank you bigjulie  You have voiced my concerns exactly (and the parcel I was expecting today hasn't arrived  ) I was only wanting some kind of idea when the tee shirt would arrive then I would know to look out for it.

(And the spelling thing relates to the wrong use of a word "looses" instead of "loses", but that's on another thread in the news forum.)

And let us know when you get your tee shirt bigjulie

I think I should eat a bit of humble pie    , I was going on about making sure you knew how to spell 1st, and what do I find when I check my post a spelling mistake by me, it should be relevant not relevent   .

I hope you aren't bankrupt now because I think a t-shirt cost less than sending it to NZ ;)

It's ok, little bit more than 4€ for a 220 gram-packages to New Zealand. 3€ 55 cents to Scarborough! Non prior-sending, I hope they don't send it via boat ;)

They might send it via boat to Scarborough  Zeebrugge to Hull, and then just up the coast by train! It will probably come in on the bmi BRU-LBA service, or the BRU-NCL flight
