From 1973 till 1997 Sabena operated a bunch of DC-10s: five owned DC-10-30C's [OO-SLA - OO-SLE]. Most of them were converted to DC-10Fs for FedEx. Moreover the Belgian carrier leased DC-10s for extra capacity (from LH, World, etc.) and eventually two former Lufthansa DC 10-30s (1994-1997).
These two birds [OO-SLF - OO-SLG] flew in Sabena's 90s-scheme: white with grey billboard-letters. OO-SLG wore a special "Dalmatians" livery and operated the last "Sabena DC 10 Flight" on 27/04/1997. In May 2004 she was still flying as N59083 for Omni Air International.
indeed, however it is not 100% as it was supposed to be... I have seen official drawings for a repaint of the MD-11's SN leased from Citybird and it showed the number 2 engine would have been painted blue as well and the SN logo would continue on it...
Sad none of the MD-11s made it in the new colours...
That livery looks great on the DC-10, however I find the "Sabena" titles somewhat boring. They should be in a more classical/modern (like the S on the tail) way. Then it would looks just fine.

How can you say that? Sabena developped a special font for these titles. I would be pleased if someone could provide me with an electronic version of these fonts.
