Passengerplane accompanied by 5 F16's above Belgium today

A friend just told me he has seen a passengerplane flying very low, with 5 F16's next to it (2 on each side and one behind). It was between Gent and Kortrijk at 16.15h.

Any news about this? It has probably something to do with the "defilé" for the National Day, on 21 July.

It must have been a great sight! 8)

I saw a passengersplane flying very low but that was this morning

It was a final repeat for Belgium's national day demonstration.

C130, F16, A310, Pilatus & Alpha Jets involved.

I was just getting in my car at Aquafin in Deinze around 16:12 if i recall correctly when I saw 2F16s. At that time I didn´t think anything unusual was happening yet about 2 minutes later I noticed 3 other F16s flying one after another (about 5-10 seconds seperation 500meters). I didn´t see any passenger plane though ....
