You mean you are travelling by train :?:

It's true that with the exorbitant prices of LH you will be much better off...

André: with the Thalys from BRU to CGN, followed by an ICE trip from CGN to FRA.

The train-fare for 3 people is the same as the fare LH asks for one person.

A nice alternative is BA. For €180, you can fly via LHR. But you have to book early to be able to get the best flights, and this would make things very complicated for a 2-daytrip.

One detail: LH asks €185 for BRU-FRA-NCE and back, while they ask €275 for BRU-FRA-BRU (both being the cheapest available fares).

Indeed. And what a story to make all those bookings.

First of all we decided not to go with LH since it costs too much

Then we thought we would take the ICE to FRA but we discovered that the Deutsche Bahn and the sncb/nmbs are in a "dispute" for that route. A couple of days ago they didn't knew yet if they would operate on that route this friday. :dammit:
Then we finally descided to take the Thalys from BRU-CGN and the ICE between CGN-FRA.

As Fred said, let's hope we won't have more surprises on friday when we travel. :?

 Conclusion 1 : There won't be a flight report but a very good and detailed spotter report ;)

 Conclusion 2: prepare your trip with the train a long time before or you might get a big SURPRISE

Chris: just checked and all flights between BRU-LHR and LHR-FRA are still available this weekend!

Only the price would cause a few problems I think ;)
