Flying Cobra - you need 300MB on your hard drive for this game, I just checked in the catalogue. It is nice to see a game which doesn't seem to require a 3D graphics card with 8MB memory, that is what has held up my installation of FS2002 - I did not know which card to get, even though I have enough memory on my PC.

My plan - start small, offer a good service, make money and then buy in more, expand slowly...

If more and more members get this sim, it could turn into an interesting discussion about "our" airlines!

normally they should only charge ur card as soon as the item has been shipped. I dunno if this is the law however, but still... u can recognise "correct" online shops by this.

I am still waiting for my copy to arrive, but I have been planning "my" airline for a few days now!

I will start as a small carrier offering high quality flights to Europe from somewhere in the UK. Then I will expand and open several hubs in Europe, with aircraft based according to the airport. Brussels will be my hub for western Europe flights, Madrid will be my hub for Africa and South America flights, Vienna will be the hub for Asia and eastern Europe flights and the UK will be the hub for North American flights. All the hubs will have interconnecting "commuter" services to connect with each others' longer haul services. The "commuter" section will be equipped with Dash 8 Q400 and CRJ aircraft. The longer haul flights will be operated by a mixture of 767, Airbus and 777 aircraft.

We will be called "Skywings".

hmmm, still it sounds so damn cool. Might consider buying it after all. Is it possible to download it instead of getting it on CD? Im just afraid that i will not use it so much (or have no time) in the future when it gets boring or so; would be waste of money?

How does ur airline actually evolve? Is it day by day? I mean, do you start for example today, and tommorow is the 29. and ....? Or do you have to click somewhere and suddenly you are 5 years further? And how does it determine whether you are profitable? What will for example happen if you have a profitable airline and you leave it alone for 1 year. Can it crash? Do random things happen to it? Sorry for all the questions 8)

How would i name my airline? Killerwhale Air Services?

there is a feature list online now for version 6.

there is also a special action running now that if you buy version 5 now, you will get a free update to the next version. My question: that next version, will that be v6.0 or v5.1? Cause i dont wanna be screwed here!

ok, i sent an email to them and they answered almost immediately that the free update is for version 6. All updates from version 5 (fe 5.1, 5.2 ...) are always free.

I just purchased Airline 5. Very curious .....

Maybe you can all start with the online game. I already did two of that games and can assure you that it's not that easy to build up an airline from scratch. It's my experience that making money is far more difficult than "making" bankruptcy warnings ....

Anyway, it's a great game and I'm eagerly waiting the start of the new online game on July 21.
