Greece have done very well, but my money is still on Portugal. Nice anyway to see that someone new will win this tournament this time, instead of someone who has won it before.

Well congrats to Greece but I was a little disappointed in Portugal... They didn't play their usual game. Maybe because of the Greece defence that played very well.

Did you saw the guy who came on the field with his Barça-flag and threw it to Luis Figo? That's a revenge for Figo's transfer to Real Madrid! Then the 'Johny Jump' made his way to the goal where he scored ;-)

A little disappointing, I was hoping Portugal would win. Greece were the unexpected team of the tournament.

The people in Portugal must be really gutted that their team lost like that on their home ground.

Nice and rare charters yesterday in Athens, flying greek fans to Lisbon. Star Air L 1011 and L 1011-500 Tristars, Hemus Air Tupolev Tu-154, Aqaba Airlines 737-700 among the others.

It must have been great to see TriStars and 154s on the same day. I am a fan of both types (as far as spotting goes, I've not been on either type :( )

This has been a worldwide celebration, with Greek communities in every country celebrating this victory.

Scarborough has one Greek restaurant and the owners were pictured in the local newspaper as they celebrated.

I read once that there are more Greek people living in Melbourne, Australia, than there are in Athens, Greece.

The Greek restaurant in Scarborough is said to be very good, but we haven't tried it yet. We probably will one day because they serve veal, and that is a welcome change.
