Spotting @ PHX on June 29th

Post by nwa757 »

Today I went plane spotting at my favorite airport, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix, AZ.

I saw:
4 America West A320s
1 America West A319
1 America West 737-200
1 America West 737-300
2 America West 757-200s (one in the "Nevada colors", one in the "Ohio colors")
3 America West Express (Mesa) CRJ-900s
2 America West Express (Mesa) CRJ-200s
1 Delta 737-800 (wavy gray colors)
2 Northwest A320s (both in the old colors)
6 Southwest 737-300s and -700s (2 in the new colors, 4 in the old colors)
1 Ted A320
2 United A320s (both in the old colors)

Btw: Once I get my photos developed, I will upload them to Coppermine and post them in this topic.

For once we get a log from an unusual airport.

Thanks, Trevor!

Thanks for the log Trevor.

It seems that there are a lot more America West and Southwest planes than any other airline at your local airport

Indeed, that's PHX :D But you can't get enough of the SW B737NG/wingletted in their new c/s: awesome!

Thanks for the nice log, Trevor!

Makes me reminder to my spotting in PXH in April...
PHX is quite a good airport for spotting huh, good weather, nice spotting places and some good looking aircrafts

It reminds me that I only flew once into PHX (from SFO), and it was with ... America West. The flight was quite cheap, notwithstanding the fact that it was a one-way trip, and excellent.

How much time did you spent at PHX ?
This can't be a full day of PHX-spotting.

Actually, my local airport is Austin Straubel International, in Green Bay, Wisconsin. I am on vacation in Phoenix until July 6th.

I only spent about 30 minutes at PHX. I wish I could have spent more time, but I had a lot of stuff to do and I wanted to get it all in before I left.

WOW ;) You'd have to wait at least 1h30 in BRU to see so "many" planes.
