737 TNT pic

Post by SLR001 »

Hello guys ,

I uploaded a picture of the OO-TNA panel yesterday.
Remember that this " new " plane is a NON-EFIS 733 :D

Enjoy

Well , you know the 737 classical is a quite old plane , now most of them are EFIS , you know the EHSI + FMC , GPS and so on , just have a look below the HSI here on the picture of the TNA , compare it to this one http://www.planepictures.net/netshow.cgi?123172 which is a picture of the OO-SBJ panel , and you will see the difference :D

Shortly , NON EFIS is ... poor ! That's almost the same than a -200 cockpit !

Yeah, you mean it hasn't been upgraded. Everything is still analogue, also the engine gauges :? I know it's poor in comparison with other B737-300 but I kind of like those old all analogue cockpits like the B737-200 and the B727-200

LOL indeed

But about the engines gauges , I think that's an option and that doesn't mean it is an old plane , some excellent 734 have digital gauges like that ( for example the 429 OO-SBM of Sobelair ) , pilots prefer that because you have a digital indication and also a small numerical one just on the gauges ...

The 733 OO-SBZ simulator at the SFA has digital gauges also

I agree with Avro, I also like older cockpits with analog gauges better than new cockpits with lcd screens.

Then fly the -200 and I take the -800

If you were a pilot I don't really think you would have chosen an old old plane for your carreer  , right ?

Ahh indeed if it's only analog engine gauges that's even better but all the NON-EFIS panel :P :P

Hehe

Kind regards

I don't want to be controversial on this but if you look into a cockpit of an Airbus 319,330 and Avro the digital indications look really smart! If you look into the cockpit of the BAe146 it looks really ugly :(

Indeed that's right , that's even more fun for pilots ... sometimes it's nice to fly old planes ... but always ... I don't think so.

It all depends on the aircraft type we are talking about. Some aircraft have nicer cokpits when they are new than old, other don't.

Anyhow, cockpits are always fun and interesting to visit
