Re: Brussels Airlines in 2026
With more A320 and A320neo to come, let's hope that the management, and unfortunately also the management in FRA, is thinking about more diversity in the destination portfolio. A lot of business destinations are missing. If they really want to have a Star Alliance hub here, more business instead of leisure is needed.
Istanbul, the gate between Europe and Asia.
Rabat and Casablanca.
Beirut
Damascus
Azerbaijan
Tunis
Cairo
Some routes are taken by their own national airline like TK, RAM and Egypt Air/Air Cairo.
But, as we can see, some of them are still expanding. It means that there is potential.
The competition with Transavia will be hard as they will expand further.
What about a sub fleet of A321neo? They could be easily used to Spanish destinations, Canary Islands, Tel Aviv, etc, this could free up A320neo for new destinations.
And please, SN, do something about your horrible business class breakfast. 1 butter, one roll and some fruits. And for this paid a couple of 1.000 euros. It's a big shame. High prices but serving low cost. High time to change the concept.

According aeroroutes.com Turkish will drop 12 routes. Among them Kinshasa.
Maybe good news for SN ?

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2026
I agree with Atlantis : "and please SN do something about your horrible business class breakfast".
Actually, I would drop "breakfast". SN 's European business class is a joke. Very bad catering, horrible sparkling white wine, poor service, no curtain (will it really come in 2027 ???) and fare often less competitive than those of other airlines (I am not referring to LCCs).
Conclusion : if/when I fly business class, it is no longer with SN. I also avoid them on economy as fares are less attractive than those of competitors. Conclusion or question : poor management (?).

Big improvements I regularly get upgraded on the flight between Brussels and Frankfurt, which is very short. Back then, they used to give a sort of chocolate cake; now, even on this very short flight, they give you a breakfast.
Hasta la victoria siempre.

I got a chilled bottle of water when I took my seat, and a breakfast, on the same flight. For how short the flight is, service was good.lumumba wrote: 12 Sep 2026, 14:56 I had a good experience on C class with Brussels Airlines to LIS!

Air Baltic filed for Chapter 11 in the USA.
I placed it here as Air Baltic is flying for SN with 4 planes during Summer.

During a recent visit to the pop-up lounge (how do they dare to call this small space with a few curtains a lounge...), I heard that the works would again be delayed and that THE LOFT would not open before January 2027 at the earliest. Anyone has more info about this?Homo Aeroportus wrote: 10 Jun 2026, 11:27 Got an email from SN yesterday.
We regret to inform you that the renovation of THE LOFT, our beloved lounge in Brussels Airport Terminal A, will take longer than anticipated. Despite having built sufficient buffer time into the original plan, unforeseen technical challenges have caused significant delays, requiring us to revise our timeline.
Our current objective is to welcome you back to a fully renovated LOFT in November. Until then, we are focused on ensuring your comfort by keeping the following temporary solutions available:
• The Pop-up LOFT
• The Sunrise Lounge
Well, well.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2026
Strange is a euphemism. The 1st Q is always low in passenger traffic, so... my bet is that the Loft will not open before the beginning of S2027 to save money.
Just a bet...
