Today's SN-3784 LPA-BRU (Gran Canaria-Brussels) OO-SBD (A320-200N) diverted to BOD Bordeaux with a 7700 squawk.
After one hour on the ground at BOD, OO-SBD continued to BRU at cruising level FL360.
So looks like a medical diversion.

Probably due to technical issues, which could be fixed more quickly in LEJ than in BRU. 01JUL2026

SWISS flight LX14 from Zurich to New York JFK (Airbus A330-300 reg. HB-JHK) diverted to St. John's (YYT) in Canada after squawking 7700. Reason unknown, but probably medical, since the flight took off again to JFK after 1 hour on the ground.

Lufthansa flight LH418 from Frankfurt to Washington Dulles (Airbus A340-600 reg. D-AIHX) diverted to Glasgow after squawking 7700 over the North Sea. After two and a half hours on the ground, the aircraft returned to Frankfurt because of a technical issue.

Lufthansa flight LH1170 from Frankfurt to Lisbon (Airbus A321 reg. D-AISB) diverted to Lyon Satolas LYS after squawking 7700. Reason unknown. The flight was expected to take off again from LYS at 20:43 UTC (hence diversion was probably medical), but is still on the ground.

Lyon-Satolas? It’s been Lyon-Saint Exupéry for more than 25 years now.

Emirates A380 diverts to Frankfurt after passenger medical emergency
An Emirates Airbus A380 operating flight EK31 from Dubai to London Heathrow diverted to Frankfurt on Thursday, 1 October, following a medical emergency involving a passenger.
The aircraft, registered A6-EDX, transmitted the general emergency transponder code 7700 before descending towards Frankfurt. It landed on runway 25L at 16:09 local time and parked at a remote stand.
Emirates initially attributed the diversion to operational reasons before confirming a passenger medical emergency. Cabin crew provided assistance during the flight, and medical support met the aircraft on arrival. The passenger disembarked for further treatment.
After its onward departure was postponed, EK31 left Frankfurt at 18:10 local time, with arrival at Heathrow scheduled for 18:38 UK time. Emirates said it was rebooking affected onward connections and would provide passengers with updated itineraries.

Agree. But the airport code LYS refers to Lyon Satolas because the airport is located in Satolas. The airport was renamed Saint-Exupéry in 2000 to celebrate the centenary of the writer's birth.
The former airport was Lyon Bron (LYN), which is still used for business aircraft.
