If you mean 2026, the new drop-off will open around October.
I wasn't expecting more than one major innovation per year, but if this is this year.... so be it.
Though not a fan of the concept, however willing to see it in practice before final judgement.
Is there any timing for the reopening of The Loft in Pier A?
"At the end of the summer" sounds quite vague..
The temporary pop-up loft is ridiculously small and almost always overcrowded...

When you give a comment, you need to give the correct content. The Flemish government is asking the federal minister of mobility to solve the case by foreseeing more than enough police for the border control.

Just anecdotal, last Wednesday I picked up a friend arriving with UA950 during the morning wave of long haul arrivals. The 77W landed at 07h15 and my friend with all his luggage stepped in the car at 08h00.

24 years ago (Ouch !), on 15 May 2002, I walked down the A Pier without wearing safety shoes and helmet for the first time in two years.
I sat there with colleagues to witness the realization of this project. The first commercial flight to use the A Pier arrived around 06:30, soon followed by many others arriving and departing, opening a new era for Brussels Airport.
The next day, then Prince Philippe/Filip officially inaugurated this new facility.
Congrats to all who worked hard to make this a success.
Regarding the hot topic about the border control and the infrastructure.
I will place it here as it is a wider aspect.
Now it seems that finally they start to speak also about the infrastructure. See my post about it in the Border control topic.
The half billion investment could have been spend on a much better way. Meaning? Put full attention on the non-Schengen pier. The airbridges are being renovated, well, go deeper also. Instead of money for a useless park in front of the airport, an office and another hotel, spend money on a completely new infrastructure for the border control. There is still space to make it much wider, bring in day light, more working e-gates, work on a list of safe countries who can use the e-gates and have more manned posts.
At the same time the new Arrival zone, which will be and everything regarding public transport, which also will be. All are connected with each other and this would bring a much better passenger experience.
The aviation community had big doubts about having the Flemish government as the biggest shareholder. Fear came out, it will be a battle between governments and the victim will be the passenger, the airport and the general image of Belgium.
For the first time since long, a dividend was paid. This was not a surprise, the governments needs money. They use the airport as an easy milk cow. Instead they could have said:"keep the dividend and upgrade the border control area".
