Hi all,
I am looking for historical flight data from the period of 2000 until 2008 for my personal logbook.
More specifically:
2000-07-15 CFU-BRU
2001-08-23 BRU-MAH
2002-08-19 BRU-CHQ
2002-08-26 CHQ-BRU
2004-08-20 BRU-HER
2004-08-30 HER-BRU
2005-08-18 BRU-RHO
2005-08-29 RHO-BRU
2006-08-16 BRU-ATH
2007-08-23 CFU-BRU
2008-08-11 LGG-PMI
I would like to add to these flights the flight number, airline, aircraft type and registration.
Anyone knows how to obtain data on these? I dont have the ticket info or boarding passes.
I expect most of these to be Citybird, Thomas Cook, Virgin Express or Sobelair.
Thanks!

Hello!
Finding exact flight details from 2000–2008 is difficult since most public archives don’t go back that far, but you can try aviation timetable archives, enthusiast forums like Airliners.net or JetPhotos, and the Wayback Machine for old airline websites. National aircraft registries and timetable collectors may also help reconstruct flight numbers, aircraft types, and registrations. With your specific dates and routes, posting in aviation history communities is often the fastest way to crowdsource the missing information.

Reconstructing details like flight number, airline, aircraft type, and registration for your flights is possible to some extent, but it can be quite challenging—especially because most of your trips were charter holiday flights. Airlines such as CityBird and Sobelair mainly operated non-scheduled services from Brussels to Mediterranean destinations, meaning their flights were not always recorded in public timetables or modern databases.

It seems to be a real challenge indeed. I did find a registration using a photograph for my flight of 2000-07-15 CFU-BRU, which is EI-TVP. Good idea about the wayback machine! Thanks!

Finding exact flight details from 2000–2008 can be challenging because most publicly accessible databases don’t extend that far back. Unlike today’s digital tracking systems, much of this data was never centrally archived online, making reconstruction more dependent on fragmented sources.

Hello!
To track down historical flight data from 2000–2008, you should cross-reference your routes with specialized Belgian aviation archives like Luchtzak.be, where local spotters maintain meticulous logs of all Brussels (BRU) and Liège (LGG) movements. Since many of your suspected airlines like Citybird, Sobelair, and Virgin Express are defunct, commercial tools like FlightStats or Cirium are best for the 2006–2008 portion of your list, as their digital records typically begin in early 2006. For the earlier 2000–2005 flights, your best bet is searching for scanned timetables on DepartedFlights.com to find flight numbers, then using Airframes.org to identify the specific aircraft registrations assigned to those carriers during those months.
