I believe that, untill now, it's the most busiest Summer they have.
On a side note, also Singapore, Bangkok and Hong Kong are doing very good.
Let's cross fingers that 2026 will be an excellent year
What is also crazy is that for once we have no major decrease to compensate the growth, apart from JFK by DL.
This means that only 2 flights per day remain and this for the most popular LH destination from BRU. If SN is capable to fly it daily, which is the question.

As I can't connect to the airchina site and since I think I'm at a good source, do you have information on CA flights to Chengdu and Beijing during the 2026 summer season? I'm talking about schedules...ThanksMiqvell wrote: 07 Jan 2026, 11:45On March 9.nordikcam wrote: 07 Jan 2026, 11:32When is DL reintroducing ATL? The last data about point to point market between Brussels and JFK that i have (Oct23-Nov24):nordikcam wrote: 07 Jan 2026, 11:32When is DL reintroducing ATL? 148 000 pax per year, with 405 pax per day. It's not very big for a such route with all offline competitors (Star Alliance airlines not included) from Brussels with only one stop. Some of them provide several flights a day with their US partner.
Aer Lingus, British Airways, KLM, Iberia, SAS Scandinavian, Air France by Rail, Finnair
You clearly needs to get lots of connecting via New York. BRU is quite far away.
Dublin JFK : 376 648 pax
Madrid JFK : 399 000 pax
Amsterdam JFK : 271 642 pax
Top us market for BRU behind New York (Newark and JFK) and Washington are : Los Angeles : 41 869 pax, San Fransisco : 39 774 pax, Miami : 34 645 pax, then Boston, Chicago. If we add Atlanta, Las Vegas, Denver and Orlando between 60 000 and 70 000 pax. Flying via Atlanta is not a detour for all these cities. Boston it's ok with UA via IAD or EWR.
For example Brussels Kinshasa it's 117 000 pax per year for the point to point but with less competition (Star Alliance airlines not included):
Royal Air Maroc and Air France by Rail

Re: BRU Summer 2026: news, new routes, airlines
The route has about 300.000 passengers a year so more then half of them are tranfering...?rwandan-flyer wrote: 07 Jan 2026, 18:27The last data about point to point market between Brussels and JFK that i have (Oct23-Nov24):nordikcam wrote: 07 Jan 2026, 11:32When is DL reintroducing ATL? On A.net I've red a similar discussion about the NYC-BRU market and how only United can make the route work (A++ with SN) and apparantly BRU has lost quite some corporate connections... BRU is of course not the biggest market from the US, so it has to rely heavily on transfer pax and this opens up opportunities for UA, since the biggest African diaspora in the US are in Harris County (IAH) and California (LAX and SFO). Bronx County (NYC) and Prince George's and Montgomery Counties (Maryland) are already served by JFK, EWR and IAD. That leaves Hennepin County (Minnesota) but MSP is not a UA-hub... Some low-hanging fruit for UA?

This is indeed a new route, as mentioned, but not a new destination.

United anticipates the fastest growth in terms of revenue and demand for Europe will come from high-end leisure markets. Business destinations are losing frequencies to divert aircraft to Southern Italy, Spain...lumumba wrote: 07 Jan 2026, 16:08 Is the forecast for flights to the USA not downwards anyway market wise?!

Re: BRU Summer 2026: news, new routes, airlines
Air Canada will use a 450-seat B77W to Montréal as of March, which is 50 more seats than currently : 28 business + 24 premium + 398 economy.
Only 10 other Air Canada international routes will have this plane.

Re: BRU Summer 2026: news, new routes, airlines
We have this plane almost each year. The demand is there especially when SN pulled out from the Canadian market. Nothing new I would say rather than a confirmation that this is an important marketMiqvell wrote: 11 Jan 2026, 21:35 Air Canada will use a 450-seat B77W to Montréal as of March, which is 50 more seats than currently : 28 business + 24 premium + 398 economy.
