We have also Air Senegal who will start as from December. We will see how that evolve and if they will propose also the Summer schedule and with which aircraftDannyVDB wrote: 19 Nov 2025, 20:41 If you can't tell, we will speculate![]()
You speak about airlines, so there is more than one (beside LATAM)?
- Riyadh Airways starting Riyadh
- Air India or Indigo to Delhi or Mumbai
OR
- Air China starting Chengdu
- American starting Philadelphia
OR
another combination of the above
OR
...
Let's the speculation start ...

OK, you are right, but this then not a new airline, otherwise you can also count LATAM for a new airline for next year

American is probably too late for next year.DannyVDB wrote: 19 Nov 2025, 20:41 If you can't tell, we will speculate![]()

No Jetblue either as they've just announced Milan and Barcelona.

Air Transat increases from 4x to 5x weekly, operated by A321LR.
Montréal will then be double-daily (with Air Canada) on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

UA is closing the booking and direct route from Washington to Dakar. Hopefully they will direct them via BRU
Re: BRU Summer 2026: news, new routes, airlines
There is no real alternative then to transfer pax through SN via BRU...Atlantis wrote: 20 Nov 2025, 21:52 UA is closing the booking and direct route from Washington to Dakar. Hopefully they will direct them via BRU
Anything else would not fit within the future Africa hub plans (if they are still on the table).

Wow, this is really nice.
I was in Saint Johns, neighboring state (New Brunswick) for work, but also did some walking, iceberg and whale spotting
Cheers,
Danny

A nice surprise I have to say, bcs it was not expected. There is another one which they are considering and I thought they would launch it first.Miqvell wrote: 25 Nov 2025, 15:22 Air Canada will launch Halifax on June 19th, 3x weekly B737MAX.

But great anyway. 2026 will be the year of a lot now long haul
Re: BRU Summer 2026: news, new routes, airlines
Hope they make Toronto year round too at one point, instead of the seasonal one they have now.
Re: BRU Summer 2026: news, new routes, airlines
S26 vs S25 seems to be booming on the long haul portofolio.
Dakar with Air Senegal
Kilimanjaro with Brussels Airlines
Halifax with Air Canada
Sao Paulo with Latam
Pekin with Air China
Atlanta with Delta Airlines
Chongqing with Hainan Airlines
But on a side note, we loose the 2nd Newark flight with United Airlines and Cancun/PuntaCana/Curaçao with TUI Fly Belgium. Hopefully those dot will come back some day. We will see what the 2 extra A330's from Brussels Airlines will brought us in S27.

Re: BRU Summer 2026: news, new routes, airlines
And we´re losing JFK with Delta, no?
Re: BRU Summer 2026: news, new routes, airlines
And this is the beginning bcs as from 2027 more is expected. Capacity is needed bcs the remote parkings starts to be full also. Air China did good by coming in the evening but all others are again in the morning. It's really crowded. Still no lesson learned in spreading but this is also the job of the home carrier. More feeder waves during the day.crew1990 wrote: 25 Nov 2025, 19:42 S26 vs S25 seems to be booming on the long haul portofolio.

For the cancellation of New York with Delta, indeed I forgot that one

Re: BRU Summer 2026: news, new routes, airlines
Some thoughts:
- Halifax is really a head scratcher for me, for sure as it is only their second transatlantic destination from there. If they wanted to launch a third destination from BRU, I would expect Ottawa or Quebec City to make much more sense. I assume it is a way for Air Canada to increase Canada flying to Brussels without requiring WBs or 321LRs? I assume there is no significant demand from Halifax to Africa either?
- It is imo a missed opportunity for LATAM to not take an evening slot. Evening flights to SA are much more convenient and it would fit nicely with a huge amount of connections, but I am sure this flight will do very well as many destinations will be reduced from a two-stop to a one-stop journey from Brussels.
- We should also not forget the reduction of CX to 3/weekly which is still somewhat surprising to me considering the flight has been nearly full in all classes everytime I took it (8 times meanwhile).
- Considering the East Asia expansion, EVA Air next?
