The Dassault Falcon 7X aircraft of the Belgian Air Force
I have two questions about the two Falcon 7X wet-leased by the Belgian Air Force from Luxaviation:
1. OO-LUM has had no activity for several weeks, according to Flightradar24. Is that the real situation?
2. OO-FAE thus seems the only one to be currently in use. I would have thought that Belgian Prime Minister De Croo would have flown to Tel Aviv today on OO-FAE, but again, it does not appear on Flightradar24. Hence my second question: on which aircraft did De Croo fly?

Your comments are spamming this website, as they are completely wrong: both OO-LUM and OO-FAE are regularly flying these days, and in particular today.Husnain11221 wrote: ↑18 Jul 2024, 08:03 The Falcon 7X with the registration OO-LUM indeed appears to have had no recorded activity for several weeks on Flightradar24, which aligns with the situation you've described.
As for OO-FAE, it also shows no recent activity. It seems that Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo did not fly to Tel Aviv on either of these aircraft. Unfortunately, without further specific details, it’s unclear which aircraft he used for his travel.
For up-to-date and detailed information, you might need to check with relevant flight tracking services or official government sources.

OO-FAE is 15 years old.OO-FAE: Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prévot’s delegation makes emergency landing in the Caribbean
The Belgian Air Force Falcon 7X jet (reg. OO-FAE) carrying Foreign Minister Maxime Prévot and a parliamentary delegation to the CELAC–EU summit in Colombia was forced to make an emergency landing in Sint Maarten on Saturday following an engine problem, according to the minister’s spokesperson. The aircraft, which had departed Belgium early Saturday as flight BAF77, initially had to turn back over the United Kingdom due to a fuel issue.
After undergoing repairs and recertification at Melsbroek Air Base, it departed again at around 14:00 Belgian time. A first leg to Terceira on the Azores was carried out without problems. Mid-flight on the second leg to Santa Marta, Colombia, however, the pilot informed passengers that a precautionary landing was required for safety reasons after detecting a new malfunction.
The emergency landing in Sint Maarten, in the Lesser Antilles, was carried out without incident, though fire crews were on standby. The delegation spent the night on the island, awaiting alternative transport to Santa Marta, their intended destination in northern Colombia. A private flight is reportedly being considered to resume the journey.
The delay means Prévot missed the opening session of the CELAC–EU summit as well as several bilateral meetings with NGOs and Latin American ministers. The delegation also included MPs Els Van Hoof (CD&V), Michel De Maegd (MR), Kathleen Depoorter (N-VA), and Christophe Lacroix (PS). “This is a serious setback for Belgium’s image,” Prévot’s spokesperson said. “Each time, it’s our country’s credibility that suffers, as well as its ability to participate fully in key international meetings.”
The incident follows previous technical failures involving Belgium’s government aircraft — notably during King Philippe and Queen Mathilde’s visit to Chile earlier this year. Prévot’s office reiterated calls for the purchase of two new aircraft for government and diplomatic missions, financed through the defence budget.

Both are since 2020 on a 12 years lease contract with Luxaviation. Are we really going to break that contract because a technical failure happened with the king and/or politicians onboard? 15 / 18 years isn't that old for a business jet.
Re: The Dassault Falcon 7X aircraft of the Belgian Air Force
Since these guys want to tax/fight against private jets for the rich, why don't they just fly commercial to Colombia?
Cheaper and more reliable, no?
Re: The Dassault Falcon 7X aircraft of the Belgian Air Force
Which is the private Gulfstream that came to their rescue in St. Maarten and flew them to Santa Marta, Colombia?
I fail to find the information.

This is the landing of the Gulfstream V at Santa Marta on FR24, which doesn't give a lot of information about the aircraft!

I finally got the information. The flight number was IJM572, and the registration of the Gulfstream V is OE-IIS. The flights are not recorded in FR24. They can be seen in real time on FR24, but without the identification information.
