Following our earlier report on a possible drone sighting above Brussels Airport in the evening of 6 November, Aviation24.be wishes to provide additional context and clarification.
A video shared on our Facebook page was initially presented as possible evidence of drone activity. Subsequent verification has confirmed that the aircraft visible in that video was, in fact, a police helicopter operating in the area at that time (20:08 local time).
However, multiple independent witnesses, including a resident and a journalist from another publication, reported observing a drone over or near the airfield earlier that evening. Additionally, Brussels Airport temporarily suspended operations for approximately thirty minutes, about one hour after the footage we published, as authorities conducted further safety checks.
