Germany seems to be fallen very low. They were beaten by the B team of Czechia :(

I think Germany thought they would win against the Czech B-team but ran into a very organised and motivated Czech team...

Quarter-finals look like this:

Portugal - England (tonight)
France - Greece (tomorrow)
Sweden - Netherlands (26/06)
Czech Republic - Denmark (27/06)

As I quote from my earlier message:
luchtzak wrote:I have a few candidates who will win the event:

- Spain, France, Italy and England

outsiders:

- Portugal and Sweden
France, England, Portugal and Sweden still in the running 8)

Nice predicting you did Bart ;)

First of all welcome to Luchtzak BazzaG. :)

But I'm sorry I have to disagree with you , because I'll be supporting Portugal this evening :jumpy:
In my opinion they have a much more beautiful style of playing

Well well... after an exciting game Portugal goes to the next round.

1-1 after 90 minutes,
2-2 after 120 minutes,
Portugal won the penalties 6-5 after Beckham and Darius Vassell missed a penalty (yes Comet, we know you don't like Beckham ;-) )

Bart, the keeper of Portugal (Ricardo) did it very well on the last! First he saved a penalty (without gloves!) and than he scored the final penalty! And the penalty of beckham was so silly

Beckham has a new title of glory: the guy who missed the most penalty shots at Euro 2004 :)

Beckham? I could have done better myself. I always thought that the idea of a penalty kick was to aim to get the ball in the back of the net, not somewhere up there with the bloody fairies!!!!!

Shame about Rooney though, (at least he doesn't have problems finding the back of the net with his shots at goal!)

Well, my father said when the 2nd game was played:
'Look; it'll be Portugal-Holland in semi-final. Holland will beat them and also win the final. Nobody will speak after they won about Dick Advocaat...'
Actually I think he got a point there

About England now: I really enjoyed watching whilst Beckham missed his penalty. My grandmother could have done better I think...

"Les Bleus" have won, but not the expected ones. The blue-white team took indeed an amzing victory over the red-white-blue (or black-blanc-beur with more black and beur than blanc...).

Pity that the Dutch are not out ! After such a bad game against Sweden (0-0 and 5-4 after penalty kicks)! Sweden should have won (twice against the poles).

Oh maybe my team Holland will reach the finals!!
They've had some luck the past games but that's something that you need too in life. I think we'll have Czech-Holland in the finals.
