Thanks! As long as it has a proper IFE and some comfortable seats, I'm fine. My last long haul experience is from 20 years ago on Continental. Since then only touristbus flights on 737's, A320's and the occasional 757 and even once the infamous OO'(s)TUC from TUI.
Guess I'll be easily satisfied. I can't find any Y-cabin pictures to compare with modern day SN cabin.
Enjoy

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2025
Well, it was a good cabin imho, decent IFE and a great crew. Surely a good first flight with Brussels Airlines.

Hi all,
I saw that OO-SFF is doing a flight to Frankfurt before leaving for Freetown, tomorrow 30/07. Something special in Frankfurt or just a lot of pax ....?

End of tomorrowland... some pax for connection in FRA
Re: Brussels Airlines in 2025
SFF seems grounded in Kigali. Washington flight canceled today. Any information about this new incident with a SN A333?
Re: Brussels Airlines in 2025
Load factor on both flights was less than 120pax, so this is not the reason... A couple of months ago a similar rotation was in the schedule.
Reason unknown....
Re: Brussels Airlines in 2025
Tomorrowland accommodations closed Monday, flight was Tuesday. Unusually large cargo volume? Quick rotation to train a new crew?Tetris wrote: 02 Aug 2025, 13:29Load factor on both flights was less than 120pax, so this is not the reason... What can be a reason for SN501 to JFK to take a more southern crossing over the Atlantic, while all other USA traffic chooses a way more northern crossing?

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2025
Could be a whole bunch of operational reasons but availibility of the tracks (Northeren already too full?) is my best guess
Re: Brussels Airlines in 2025
Winds over the Atlantic, tracks are split north and south of the strongest winds. Flight time is more or less equal, so slot availability would be the determining factor.Established02 wrote: 04 Aug 2025, 12:33 What can be a reason for SN501 to JFK to take a more southern crossing over the Atlantic, while all other USA traffic chooses a way more northern crossing?

ITA Airways expands codeshare with Lufthansa Group to Africa and Asia
https://www.aviation24.be/airlines/ita- ... -and-asia/
The expanded deal allows ITA passengers to book flights under the AZ code to destinations in Africa – including Abidjan, Douala, Freetown, Monrovia, Nairobi, and Ouagadougou – via Brussels Airport and Brussels Airlines.
In return, Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, and Brussels Airlines passengers can now fly under a single ticket via Rome Fiumicino to ITA Airways destinations such as Accra, Dakar (in competition with Brussels Airlines!)

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2025
from an article about the AC strike: "Currently, like many airlines, Air Canada pays flight attendants only for work done while the plane’s doors are closed."
Is this something SN and the other members of the Lufthansa group do too?
Might be a stupid question but HR is not my area of expertise.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2025
Well,
this is not exactly correct.
In the US environment the attendants are paid ground pay for the work done whilst the aircraft is not flying and a much higher pay whilst the aircraft is effectively productive. It is fair to say that there is am unpaid time during boarding or if the aircraft is waiting at the gate eg if the flight schedule has to be harmonized to a wave.
The conflict here is that the attendants unions wants to start the clock for flying time from beginning of the boarding. Some recent US tariffs improvements have been setting these times at various airlines at 50% of the flying pay, other agreements are compensating for the total hours eg waiting time etc.
To be fair, such models exists in the US environment where labor is available and low entry barriers are there , eg in retail - people are asked to be available on demand but are paid only for the net hours they spend in the shop.

It’s common practice in many airlines, including SN.OO-PDM wrote: 19 Aug 2025, 18:03 from an article about the AC strike: "Currently, like many airlines, Air Canada pays flight attendants only for work done while the plane’s doors are closed."

There’s a fixed basic salary and variable pay based on block hours. On top of that some tax-efficient allowances are paid.

Something wrong with SFG? It's been idle for 10 days.
