Coming back from KGL via EBB last week I was kinda surprised by the number of Americans on board.

Re: BRU Summer 2026: news, new routes, airlines
This morning I happened to walk behind a Delta crew entering the terminal building, when I noticed how two young boys, age 12 or so, approached and stopped one of the pilots, asking for something. So I asked the other pilot what was going on and he kindly explained that his colleague was giving out little aviation cards to these kids. Apparently there has been a successful ad campaign (in the USA, I suppose) that mentions that all Delta pilots are now able to pass out these aviation cards to the public. And indeed, I noticed how this pilot was carrying quite a big stack of these cards in his hand bag. Although I can no longer pretend to be a kid, I was also tempted to ask them for a card. Got two.Miqvell wrote: 21 Jul 2025, 12:45Looks like ATL will be back next year, with the first flight scheduled for June 10th.Atlantis wrote: 07 Jul 2025, 08:46 Delta Airlines uploaded the schedules for Summer 2026. The recent started Atlanta to Brussels is not there anymore. One of the first reactions is that they want to consolidate around AMS, CDG and LHR. Maybe it's still early, but the first prediction is mostly correct.

Transavia Holland, Transavia France...Transavia Belgium?

Re: BRU Summer 2026: news, new routes, airlines
They will not create a new airlines just for 3-4 aircraft based while Transavia NL/FR can base aircraft there
Re: BRU Summer 2026: news, new routes, airlines
Recruitment should start in September, with approximately 115 cabin crew members to be hired.Miqvell wrote: 26 Jul 2025, 12:17 Transavia has confirmed it will open a crew base as of March 2026.

For comparison, Ryanair employed around 60 staff members - 44 cabin crew and 15 pilots - prior to its closure.

Re: BRU Summer 2026: news, new routes, airlines
Wait until they have 10+ aircraft based in BRU. Maybe they will not create a separate AOC for that, but I am pretty sure their unions will have something to say about this.crew1990 wrote: 30 Jul 2025, 18:03 They will not create a new airlines just for 3-4 aircraft based while Transavia NL/FR can base aircraft there
Re: BRU Summer 2026: news, new routes, airlines
With yearly salaries of 120.000+ for an experienced F/O at Transavia Holland or a place on the Air France seniority list for Transavia France, they won’t have problems to crew their base in Brussels.Lux_avi wrote: 01 Aug 2025, 17:03Wait until they have 10+ aircraft based in BRU. It's unfortunately already a long discussion. It's not the first one.Miqvell wrote: 07 Aug 2025, 13:42 President of Azerbaijan Airlines met with the Ambassador of Belgium to Azerbaijan to discuss the possibility of establishing a connection between both countries.

Remember Philippines Airlines? Same story there.
But would be a nice addition
Re: BRU Summer 2026: news, new routes, airlines
Indeed, definitely a good option for those who want to stick to short/medium haul.fcw wrote: 01 Aug 2025, 19:42With yearly salaries of 120.000+ for an experienced F/O at Transavia Holland or a place on the Air France seniority list for Transavia France, they won’t have problems to crew their base in Brussels.Lux_avi wrote: 01 Aug 2025, 17:03Wait until they have 10+ aircraft based in BRU. Re: BRU Summer 2026: news, new routes, airlines
For Summer 2026, American Airlines is adding 5 European destinations to its portfolio. Budapest, Prague, Milan, Athens and Zurich. This from Philadelphia, Dallas or Miami.
AA will use the B788 or B773.
Maybe we will see again in the future AA at BRU as Philadelphia is on the BRU list?
