SN is not a large player to have several optimally configurated subfleets.

I would expect the future cabin design to be harmonized in the way that offers the best compromise.

By the way , the LH Allegris in the 789 which is comparable o the 333 size have 28C and 21 Y. But of course, they are targeted to fly lower demand destinations.

Austrian is very positive on the Premium Eco and has more of it by each plane, eg 24C and 30 Y in the 767 and 32C and 40Y in the 772.

My guess is that this could work well for SN as well and won't be surprised to see 28 or 35 Premium eco seats.

And finally, should SN Start around 2030 a roll over towards another long haul aircraft model, there may come a certain time of 2 models in the fleet.

Is OO-SFQ really registered or when will it be? If we find traces of the German plane, it's not the same for the Belgian!

In other words, C and Y+ passengers subsidize economy passengers...

"oo-sfq" is still "d-aikm" right now but will soon be on the Belgian register. At the moment she is being painted into the full new brussels airlines livery. She will then be transferred to Woensdrecht for some extra modification (flightdeck and cabin) before going to her new home.

She will feature 30C/28PE/225Y

No, C and Y+ passengers want to pay an extra for better service/better seats to the benefit of the airline.

This week I was for the first time on one of the leased A222-300 of Air Baltic ... Nice experience, very professional crew, announcements (recorded) also in French and Dutch (véry Dutch :D ).

I checked the use of the 4 planes and I see that YL-ABH is currently not flying for SN (see https://sites.google.com/view/europeanairlinefleets/bel)

Is there another one from Air Baltic they use now, or are just three of them operating for SN?

Cheers,
Danny

You could say the arrangement between SN and BT is four aircraft for the season, provided through BT:s pool of A220:s. As BT has their operational and maintenance base in RIX, they would rotate those aircraft on lease through their regular RIX-BRU-RIX service.

I believe WX did the same with their CRJ:s at the time when operating for SK and SN simultaneously.

Exactly, which is one of the basics in yield management. Also, in some cases prices for fully flexible Y can be set at a higher level than those for restricted Y+ or even restricted C.

Let's say that different Pax have various needs and they book different products in terms of flexibility ( which often dictates the price as it is a service component), quick/ long timing, space needs / comfort, Service on board and on the ground, luggage etc.

Currently for several companies the long haul Premium economy brings the best revenue per allocated space.

I noticed on Flightradar24 that flight SN9901, operated by Brussels Airlines A330-300 OO-SFC, was scheduled to fly to Châteauroux today, but it ended up being cancelled—most likely due to the national strikes in Belgium.

Does this mean OO-SFC was due for a repaint (new livery)? Or is there another reason for this planned flight to Châteauroux?

OO-SFC has been flying actively and currently has several long-haul flights scheduled in the coming days. So it makes me wonder—can Brussels Airlines afford to pull an A330 from service during the busy summer season?

Anyone have more info or thoughts?

OO-SFQ ( or D-AILM ) was supposed to go today to Bergen op Zoom (SN9901) and OO-SFC to Châteauroux (SN9902)...but everything seems postponed because of the strike I think

I wonder why won't they finish with mixed liveries first. OO-SFF is the only one left with its livery base left from SQ.

OO-SFH was AOG @ ROB until wednesday night. Maybe they wanted it back before letting C go for repaint job.

I saw indeed OO-SFQ is now in WOE, being prepared. But what exactly are they doing there. I didn't know even that airport has some special facilities for preparing long haul planes ... Is it the interior or anything else?

On EAF it is showing an old VG Airlines livery :o

Danny

I guess that's another OO-SFQ which is already scrapped according to Airfleets.net.

Indeed, VG was MSN 290. The one at WOE is MSN 913, ex LH D-AIKM

It seems OO-SFC left for Chateauroux (this morning), while OO-SFQ is still in Woensdrecht, and OO-SFH is in maintenance in BRU (not sure what that means), and a fourth one (OO-SFE) had a window broken due to a hail storm ... :(
So many birds in non-active mode ... Hope they can repair/solve/... things soon :| .

Instead of her current 42C/28PE/185Y under LH colours; i.e. 12C seats replaced by 40Y seats under SN livery. I thought C and Y+ were the bread and butter nowadays.
