Just looked at our travel office platform to book a flight to Venice, leaving 9/04, returning 12/04 to go to the General Assembly of the EU Space Networks. Can see the flights to Venice are operated by Air Baltic then ...

So it means that from the beginning of the summer season the 4 Air Baltic planes will be available, or just part of them? I thought the extra planes would mainly be operated in the high season, no (July-September) ...

Does anyone know on which other routes they will be operated (besides Venice).

High season in aviation is April-October.

April-October is the summer season. End June- begin Sepember is the high season.

OO-SNM has just arrived at the paintshop to become the next belgian icon

Only two A319/A320 remaining with the old livery, SNB (Rakham) with the old logo on the tail and SNJ. Still a few to go in the A330 fleet.

There is some hope, though: J should receive it later this year; P is currently getting it in CHR; and maybe Q, the new kid on the block, could join them with a bright new livery in May. That would leave "only" 5 of them for the next effort(s)...

It seems that in Sept25, Brussels Airlines will operate on some days 2 flights a day to Kigali. Anyone knows why ? On bookings engine serach the 1st flight of the day is SN 461 or 491, thus not 2 SN 467 flight number in the same day.

Dates : 19 sept, 20 sept, 29 sept & 30 sept

On 20 Sept & 30 Sept there will be 3 direct flights (x2 with Brussels Airlines and 1 with RwandAir) from Brussels to Kigali. I know that BRU is the biggest point to point market for Kigali outside Africa with Dubai, but 2 flights a day with SN even with connecting pax it's huge.

Plenty choices to fly from BRU to KGL on these days : Brussels Airlines, KLM, Ethiopian, Egytpair, Qatar Airways (they will resume flights to KGL from May 2025 using the flight number that they have used in the past to KGL)or RwandAir (there is also Turkish Airlines)

However, with Rwanda involved in East Congo massacres that could all be cancelled.
So people say politics have no influence on aviation business.

For the moment the event is not canceled. I guess if it's canceled, Brussels Airlines will cancel these extra flights.

And the only time when Brussels Airlines has suspended flights to Rwanda due to politics it was in 2006, when Belgium put on the black list the Rwandan airline "Silverback Cargo".

I noticed that these Air Europa A220s do quite long flights (6.30 hours +) like Tallinn-Tenerife, for example. I hadn't realized they had such a long range.

Well Air Tanzania has sent its A220s to Mumbai (https://www.google.com/search?client=fi ... 220+mumbai) and Dubai from Dar Es Salaam.

Air Peace used to serve Johannesburg with their Embraer E2, from Lagos before to close the route this year (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfbcmHNWnzo)

Air Austral has sent its A220s to Chennai from Reunion Island (https://www.google.com/search?q=air+aus ... s-wiz-serp).

You can see also some "older" generations aircraft such as CRJ 900 or ERJ 190 making some long trips in Africa. RwandAir sends sometimes its CRJ to South Africa (mainly to Cape Town with a stop in Harae till the close the route). Kenya Airways sends its ERJ 190 to Douala, Johannesburg and Mauritius (but some of these flights are operated by B787-8s).

For all these flights (CRJ 900 & ERJ 190), flight time reach at least 4hrs. It's huge for a such aircraft. It's like if UE airlines based in France, Germany, Belgium use regional aircraft to serve Tel Aviv, Lebanon or Egypt.
