is OOSSO leaving the fleet?
On Monday a flight to Cornwall is foreseen.
OOSFP is flying 05/03 to Chateroux for the repaint probably
OO-SFJ scheduled to fly to Chateauroux tomorrow, as SN9901, pesumably for paint job.
The same crew will probably bring OO-SFP back to BRU; its paint should be dry by now . No more EW livery on SN planes, then at last.
Are you sure ? OO-SFJ planned too to fly Dakar today as SN201 ? ( Source BRU Airport ) Hummm ? Does OO-SFP back today ?
Obviously, the initial planning for today has been changed. The originally planned flights to/from CHR for today are still on the aircraft data tables.
Indeed.
According to Flightstats.com, OO-SFH was initially planned to operate SN201 today but was changed to Golf.
This morning, Golf was replaced by Delta, that one hour later was replaced by Bravo.
Less than one hour later it seems that Bravo called in sick and had to be replaced by Juliet. Hence the postponement of the paint job by one day.
It shows the importance of having a fleet up to the target market, even during the low season.
OO-SFJ is finally on its way to Aéroport Châteauroux-Centre (CHR) for its fresh new Brussels Airlines livery, leaving its outdated Eurowings colors behind!
I assume that is because one of their planes is not yet back from painting and next weekend starts the summer season with flights going up to the US: JFK from 5 to 7/w and 5/w to Washington, correct?
It seems that D-AIKM is being prepared in FRA, but not sure what that means ... (putting stickers, some smaller changes to the interior?) That would be a new color scheme in the fleet

If the information is correct, than nr 12 and 13 will be young A330's. For the moment they are 13 and 12,9 years old.
AIKQ and AIKR
Strange, I got the info it was MSN 1314 and 1497...
Won't make that much a difference I guess. All A330's with Trent 700's above MSN 900 are highly sought after.
In the press release regarding their 2024 financial year, SN said
Brussels Airlines will add two aircraft to its own fleet (one Airbus 330 for long-haul flights and one Airbus 320 for short- and medium-haul flights) and has a wet-lease contract with Air Baltic, which will operate 4 Airbus 220 aircraft on behalf of Brussels Airlines during the busy summer season. This makes Brussels Airlines the strongest growing airline within Lufthansa Group.
Does anybody knows where the extra A320 will come from? Is this a transfer from a Lufthansa partner? Or will it transfer from somewhere else?
Also, when will this extra A320 arrive?

It’s a « mistake » in the press release, there is 1 A330 joining, 4 Air Baltic A220 as well. One A319 left the fleet. So the total is 4 aircraft extra this Summer, among them one extra A330 in own fleet BUT 1 A319/A320 LESS in own fleet.

It's not a mistake but rather poor wording. One A320 will indeed be added to the operational commercial MH fleet and thus the capacity of the MH network. It's not an A320 that's will come to join the fleet but an A320 that was already in the fleet last summer, but due to staffing issues, was not calculated in the operational MH network previous summer.
Even if what you say could be correct commercialy wise, it still not correct as an A319 left the fleet. But anyway the total with the wetlease still a nice growth, let's just hope SN will keep growing on is own on both fleet MH and LH in the following years to come.

It seems OO-SFQ is going also to the paint-shop, on 3rd of April ... The plane is not anymore in the list of A333 of LH.
I assume OO-SFJ will be back by then (?)
Regards,
Danny
This was all in the planning and foreseen. When it will enter the SN fleet it will be fully ready.
- A319 OO-SSF is on its way back to Brussels from a maintenance check (MX) in Newquay this morning (08/04).
- Indeed, the A330-300 D-AIKM, which will soon be re-registered as OO-SFQ, arrived in Châteauroux yesterday (07/04) for paint-shop (thankfully, no unusual OO-SFP-like livery this time)...

Would be good indeed that OO-SFJ comes back from Chateauroux.
My colleague at DSS told me that OO-SFX didn't fly yesterday evening and is sunbathing till tonight.
Consequently, SN515 to IAD is cancelled today.
Seems X-ray is to return as SN1204 arriving 09APR morning.
With the renewal of the LH cabins planned as from 2027, is it also on the table to introduce some lower density configurations (more C and Y+ Seats)?
I don’t fly SN that much in LH, but took recently the IAD flights where the Business and Premium Economy sections were completely full, while the Economy section was only filled for 40%. Is there a need for more C/Y+ Seats for certain destinations as 30 Seats in Business is in the end not a lot compared to competitors?

As you said it by yourself: "business and Y+ were completely full." Then it means that the demand is there.
In general the Y+ is doing very good on many airlines and they expand it. It's on those and business class that the airline is earning on it.
