We try to avoid politics in our forums, but I could not let this unchecked:

Trump wastes no time placing blame on Democrats for midair collision

President Donald Trump on Thursday, without evidence, sought to blame the policies of previous Democratic administrations for Wednesday’s deadly midair collision over the Potomac River.

We must have only the highest standards for those who work in our aviation system,” Trump said. “I changed the Obama standards from very mediocre at best to extraordinary.”

As soon as he was in office, Trump fired 400 Federal Aviation Administration senior officials, the head of the Transportation Security Administration, and 3,000 air traffic controllers and he disbanded the Aviation Security Advisory Committee. Extraordinary?
