Hi all,

I see OO-SFP is on the tarmac, AOG (Aircraft on ground). Does anyone knows what happened or what is the technical issue?

With kind regards,
Danny

If we can believe the European Airfleets page, nr 12 and 13 A330 for SN will be much younger once. The older A330 will go to Discover.

Belgium in a nutshell. I would have been surprised if this one went down without small-minded regionalist tantrums...

Concerning the A320's this will happend in East Midland, OO-SNN and other will be repainted.

There will be no more Eurowings livery next summer
The A330 OO-SFJ with the Eurowings livery is back at the moment.
It would arrive à 12:30 at BRU tomorrow.

you mentioned here that it would get a new livery this winter;
do you know when it will go to Châteauroux?

This is personal, but this livery makes me sick, even though it is rated Skytrax 4 since this summer.
Brussels Airlines is the last black sheep with a 3-star Skytrax rating within the LH group.

OO-SFJ back yesterday from MNL; was a relatively short mx check.
Was it repainted too or still in EW colours?

One month is quiet normal for a C-check.
Repaint will be done in March 25.

I love the new branding of Brussels Airlines. You can see a nice overview here: https://today-agency.com/work/brussels-airlines

Brussels Airlines is the last black sheep with a 3-star Skytrax rating within the LH group.
And why is that? SN is not worse than let's say OS. Howcome they're only 3 star?

The Star system is given by the consulting arm of Skytrax, which bills airlines as clients.
So likely they would love to get a project for a fee.

A few posts about Austrian A320neos have been moved to the "Lufthansa Group fleet" topic.

Unfortunate to see such a (relatively) young bird go. Do we know the new operator? I can't find anything yet on air fleets.net.

I thought the LH Group strategy for SN was to add gradually (= imho very slowly) additional.aircraft to SN's fleet. Now I read a plane is leaving. I cannot follow anymore. Sorry.

It's still the case. The fleet of SN is growing with 1 long haul per year and 2 or 3 narrow bodies per year.

But you have also planes who came at the end of their leasing. Or you can prolong it or not. But in the case of SN they decided to go for the bigger A320, so the smaller A319 is slowly leaving the fleet.

This is a very natural procedure.

1st : the aircraft is leased. Leasing contrat has probably ended

2nd : the A319 is becoming less popular. Airlines replace him either with A320Neo or A220. If i m right, SN has 5 A320Neo (plus some 3 A320Ceo who e joined the fleet in 2022 and 2023) and will lease A220. So no need to keep many A319s

3rd : all aircraft have a design life of cycles (number of take off and landings). It's means that when an aircraft will reach the number (will be close) many airlines will retire the aircraft, because after your maintenance and flying costs will increase quickly. We don't have the number of cycles (number of take off and landings) for this aircraft.

Brussels Airlines will put 3 additional A320neo into service by the summer of 2026

2 older A319’s will leave the fleet at the same time.

It would be enough to listen carefully and stick to these statements without speculating :

- roll over 319-》320
- punctual growth
- seasonal peaks on top via leases

4 A220 from Air Baltic annnounced for next summer
3 A320 for 2 A319 by 2026

2 new A320neo will replace 2 older A319 and the third A320neo is pure for expansion.

The 3 A320neo will be delivered in the first 6 months of 2026.

Don’t feed the troll!
They know very well 319s are being replaced by 320s, they just want to stir you up.
