What in case your towbar doesn't fit on your aircraft?

Post by luchtzak »

Hi all,

imagine this story: you have all the towbars in the world to push back every aircraft except you can't find THE one :? What should you do?

One of the unwritten rules in aviation : if it doesn't work, improvize and make it work.

@ Jense and Blackhawk:
yes, this is BRU (north of A-pier). I recognized it to the yellow BGS-jackets :-). Later on I saw the BAF and the TUI.

Is 'no towbar' the real reason for this video, bart? Remember there were so much different types that I cannot imagine they had run out of CRJ-bars...
Anyway, nice video ;-)

Wow! Quite amazing! I wonder what the passengers were thinking.

Btw: I saw this TV show, last year, where they saw who would pull a DC-10 further, an elephant or 100 "little people". The elephant won.
Onward and Upward...

Well, Verhofstad always told us he would create a lot of jobs during the next 4 years. His plan is apparently working

Indeed, very funny movie :D :D

I saw a similar situation in the previous Dakar-rally. There wasn't a pushback available for an AN-74 from the organisation of the rally, so the locals were pushing the aircraft. Here is a screenshot made from the television with my webcam :

It's funny to see this happening at BRU. The regional jet paradise in Europe without a towbar fora an CRJ. ;-) how could this be happening ;-)
