This time, the PM flew to Israel with a private Lithuanian B737

Are we a third-world country? About time for Belgium to buy a decent government (medium-long range) aircraft! All countries have them...
That KlasJet B737 is a regular visitor in Melsbroek...
What a shame, indeed.

On top of hiring foreign companies iso using Belgian airlines, it's also KlasJet; they offer the worst possible conditions for their employees and clearly they have terribly poor standards. Look at avherald, some scary theories about them there.

There is and there has always been a lot of traffic of the Belgian Air Force to/from the DRC.

Last week it was the Falcon 7X OO-LUM which was flying to Kinshasa and Kananga.

By the way, OO-LUM has been a long time in maintenance and is now back in service. But OO-FAE has not flown since 12 January, it's probably its turn to be under maintenance: both aircraft had a more than 10-year life before being leased to the Belgian Air Force.

The A400M aircraft were bringing Belgian assistance after the recent floods in Kinshasa and its region.

A400M CT-03 is currently flying towards Jordan as BAF647, with a mission to drop 6 tonnes of food and relief supplies over the Gaza strip. The Belgian aircraft will remain a few days in Jordan in order to also drop supplies delivered by allied nations.

Yesterday, a Belgian Air Force F-16 took off from Siauliai Air Base in Lithuania to intercept an aircraft above the Baltic Sea that was not on the flight plan. They were later joined by a Swedish Gripen. Both allies visually identified the aircraft as a Russian TU-134 transport airplane.

CT-07 currently on the way to IAD but this time flying a southern route.

CT-07 20250107.jpg

The Northern route with a stop over in KEF is (marginally) shorter but it seems current Wx over the Atlantic made this less advisable.
CT-07 made an overnight at LPLA, Lajes/Terceira in the Azores.

Huge detour for this BAF A400M. I guess it will back to Brussels with Belgium diplomatic staff based in Rwanda, after Rwanda and Belgium cut diplomatic ties yesterday ( 17Mar25)

Hi Guys,kolkata fatafat
Belgium, together with Luxembourg, is making a meaningful investment in the future of military aviation by acquiring a state-of-the-art flight simulator for the Airbus A400M. With a combined budget of €115 million (€28 million from Luxembourg), this simulator—set to be installed in Melsbroek—will play a vital role in preparing the next generation of skilled military transport pilots.

The aircraft flew over Ostend at low altitude, but eventually landed in Brussels.

ADS-B data show that the aircraft did land in Ostend, and took off some time after...
FR24 data are not complete, maybe radar data were hidden for security reasons...

Ostend it was, and on the ground for about an hour at the cargo terminal.
And they switched off the 'ADS-B Out' when entering the Belgium FIR, but that's a lousy attempt to keep it secret...

CT-07, a 15th Wing A400M, flew to Jordan this morning, probably to King Abdullah II Air Base East of Amman.

CT07 03AUG25.png

A team from RavAir Schaffen, palettized 15 tonnes of humanitarian aid such as food and water to be dropped above the Gaza territory.

The Kingdom of Jordan provides humanitarian support with Abdullah Aid, taking over the US Aid that President Trump was forced to close in an attempt to boost the US economy by cutting costs.

More air drops are planned by several nations in the coming days and weeks as indeed an A400M load is about equivalent to a truck and hundreds of truck loads are necessary each day to keep the Palestinian population alive.

CT-03 flew in to Jordan yesterday and is currently flying back to EBMB.

It is now CT-06 that is today dropping a full load over Gaza.
Actually five aircraft are involved in this international intervention, all under a call sign HERC :
Gaza Milk Run 07AUG25.png

HERC30 is a Jordanian C-130 (incorrectly tagged as Russian on ADS-B Exchange.
HERC31 is a UAE C-130
HERC32 is a German A400M
HERC33 is a German A400M
HERC34 is the Belgian A400M CT-06

A400Ms are carying about 15 tons of food and humanitarian aid, a bit less in the Herky birds.

There are also 6000 truck, 15 to 25 tonnes each, that the UN has parked at the border of Gaza but these are no authorized to enter. The UN estimates that the 2.3 million people in Gaza would need about 1000 trucks per day.
Air Supply helps, a bit.
