I didn't knew that my first topic had been closed allready :(

Anyway, thx for starting the second one BlackHawk. But can I kindly ask you to change your title and put: "SN Brussels Airlines' Loadfactor - part 2" instead of the current one ???

I hope that the AEA will publish the figures for may soon, but since the beginning of this year they seem to be very slow in processing all datas, and always have some delays :?
These LF's seem pretty good, or don't they???
Well the positive thing is that the loadfactors are increasing every month compared to the year before, but in my opinion there is still a lot of work to do. Especially in the winter months. A loadfactor of around 50% in the winter is not enough !!!!

I do have a sugestion for them actually:

a lot of their planes are standing on the ground in the weekend right? Maybe they should do some intens promotions to schools going on a ski-trip and give them a special fare for chartering a whole plane.

Hi all,

I think this load factor is not bad at all:
- there is an increase of more than 7 points compared to last year
- this is very good since they started several new routes which have rather low LF at the beginning like Istanbul, Moskou, ...

Hi,

A question about the loadfactor. How do they calculate the LF. Do they take the charter flights also in acount? Since sn is also do a lot of charters this could be important.

Regards,

The AEA defines the Loadfactor as the ratio between the RPK and the ASK

ASK= Available Seat Kilometers
RPK= Revenue Passenger Kilometers

If you divide the RPK by the ASK you get the LF

So actually, all flights of a company are part of this calculation.
In short, yes the charter flights are part of the LF calculation.

Thanks for your timely update, Chris! It is indeed good to see that SN is constantly progressing. But for my personal comfort, I prefer to have empty seats next to me (that's what I hope for tonight on my flight to MAN on an A319)

Normally, the AEA publishes the figures in the beginning of the month at their website and I just downloaded them.

I wish you a pleasant flight :)

Normally yes, but they only published them today, so how can you download the Loadfactors 15 days before they are officially published :confused: Or have you updated your table this morning before I posted the numbers of April :?:

André: when I went to the busstop this morning, I spotted the LGW flight very very low right above my head! The A319 was so low that I could easily identifie it as an SNBA A319.

I see the MAN traffic passing too over here... damned clouds, I could have seen you flying this evening ;)

PS: I'm located near Gent

The loadfactors are increasing every month...

If these figures hold on for the entire year...
SN will maybe (read maybe) have more than a 70% loadfactor for the months July and August...

Thumbs up...
:thumbsup2:

greetings,
ATC
