The possible cancellation would be due to juridical reasons, not because of a negative advice.
Very misleading title.

When I read the article correct, the Walloon Minister of Environment has issued a permit for 55.000 movements, whilst at the same time explaining and defending that, environment-wise, 50.000 is the limit.Lux_avi wrote: ↑10 Apr 2024, 11:18 https://www.aviation24.be/airports/lieg ... it-advice/

When I read the article correct, the Auditor's Office at the The Raad van State / Conseil D'Etat has noticed this contradiction, and therefore advised the Raad / the Conseil to annul the permit.

And on top of this, the Walloon government has the intention to go to the Conseil D'etat to annul the permit for Brussels Airport. The reason they give is that they were not heard during the investigation of the permit.Passenger wrote: ↑10 Apr 2024, 13:08When I read the article correct, the Walloon Minister of Environment has issued a permit for 55.000 movements, whilst at the same time explaining and defending that, environment-wise, 50.000 is the limit.Lux_avi wrote: ↑10 Apr 2024, 11:18 https://www.aviation24.be/airports/lieg ... it-advice/

All that is "led" by Celine Tellier (Ecolo, of course). Whether it is for Brussels or Liege Airport, she only has one dream; kill Belgian aviation.
Re: 2024 Liège Airport (LGG/EBLG) latest news
It is the same problem with their Flemisch friends of "groen" .They want to kill ANR since a long time..And indeed what a "strange" country Belgium is(eendracht maakt macht/l'union fait la force?)

What is fascinating is Zuhal Demir wanted to have Flanders being involved in this permit, which can be understandable, while for Brussels Airport, the Brussels region weren't able to be heard on this chapter.Atlantis wrote: ↑10 Apr 2024, 13:17And on top of this, the Walloon government has the intention to go to the Conseil D'etat to annul the permit for Brussels Airport. And same goes for roadworks at R0 x E411 close to Brussels, a mayor wants to stop the works (because the diverting traffic is a mess) while Flanders refuse to interrupt them and of course there was no meeting involving the different parties before the roadworks.
It is not okay to live in such a system.

LGG had a permit. The Auditor's office from the Council of State now has given a negative advice on that permit.
