Ridiculous, Schiphol ends up suspending its restrictions. Goodbye JetBlue and Air India (among others) to Brussels for the moment probably …
It's postponed, not cancelled. But those companies will also not forget it, it will not end by this. They will keep it in mind.
Second, BRU has to grow on their own strength. Airlines has to come here bcs they want, not as a second option. We have already a very nice portfolio of new ones for next year and some are in the pipeline.
Third, what happened in AMS is a clear sign for all those action groups around BRU who want the same for BRU as what was happening at AMS. Now they are faced that you cannot stop an industry like this. This is a blessing for BRU too bcs the new environment permit has to be requested as from next year. Action groups are now already active.
Any idea if any new ones will be announced before the end of the year or will we have to wait for next year? Thanks!

What are you talking about ? New routes ? Airlines ? I can't promise any confirmation this year but some airports will be releasing their slots soon and we should know a little more. I still think Shanghai isn't that far away but again, we're not sure.

I said it on November 10 (viewtopic.php?p=428331#p428331). What I'm saying is I'm sure an announcement is coming but I don't know if it will be released this year or next year.

Hi Theeuropean,
It's just a matter of time. Can be still announced this year. The Chinese carriers are the last couple of days extremely active in announcing new routes, also to Europe.
Cyprus Airways will start Brussels (BRU) - Larnaca (LCA) with 2 weekly flights from 5th of February.

From 05.02.24 to 28.03.24: Monday, Thursday.

Flynas are doing it in Berlin too as well as some other cities but I do agree there was very little promotion about the route so let’s see.
Quite curious for Air India would be nice to have a route to India. I also checked the comments seems like Air India will announce a plethora of new routes soon if their X (twitter) account is to be reliable
