Terrible news to end the Christmas Holidays:

This morning, near Planckendael / Mechelen (B), a couple had just visited their veterinarian with their dog. When they were walking outside, a 70-year car driver, who most probably had a stroke, crashed into them. One fatality: Greet S., former cabin crew Sabena (1990-2001) and since 2004 cabin crew Jetair, later TUI Belgium.

E2 delivery delays, impacting (=limiting) the TUI Fly schedule out of ANR till the summer

This weekend, a Sunwing aircraft landed at BRU after a flight of 8 hours and 16 minutes!
It was a B737 Classic.
Straight from Toronto without a stopover. Very exceptional.
This aircraft will probably be used during our summer for TUIfly.

It’s OO-JAX (B738, not a classic) coming back from its winter lease @ Sunwing.

The second E295 is on its way!

After a test flight Castellon-Pau-Castellon earlier today, the aircraft registered EI-GYV is now on its way to Shannon for painting
and onward delivery to TUI Airlines Belgium.

Apparently engine problems. Teething with brand-new aircraft can sometimes be difficult.

It’s new in the TUI fleet, but it’s not a new aircraft and these PW engines have been flying a round for a couple of years. What do you exactly mean?

yes and no, it's not really a brand new aircraft, but it has only been in use by Belavia for well less than a year and then in storage for a year and a half. Taking an aircraft out of storage, can always bring some extra surprises. And all engines were swapped for some modifications P&W has made to fix reliability issues.
OO-ETB was kept in Brussels for several weeks, so that entry-in-service and teething problems could easier be followed-up at the home base.
OO-ETA was delivered even much more too late, so that it's first (commercial) flight was directly out of Antwerp for the start of the summer schedule. Rumor has it, that a final engine component spare part was delivered also too late so that it had to be replaced at Antwerp, the first day of the busy schedule.

it seems you are not aware of the terrible mess P&W is making of its GTF deliveries and support....not to mention the reliability...
Have a look at this overview in Google

I have no info on OO-ETA's problems, but the AOG location + P&W GTF saga + high season, is one of the worst combinations from a operational/maintenance point of view.....

I am aware (unfortunately). That's exactly the reason why I replied that it has nothing to do with the introduction of a new plane in the fleet ;)

The third and final E295 is on its way!

The aircraft registered EI-GYX (to become OO-ETC "Wallonia") has been ferried from Castellon to Ostrava for painting (?) and onward delivery to TUI Airlines Belgium.

The reliability of [the PW GTF engines of] the E295s is a major challenge/problem.

Indeed, OO-ETA is AOG @HER since 06/Jul/2023 and apparently still no flight home in sight.
OO-ETB has also been AOG @RMU from 07/JUN/2023 till 10/JUN/2023.

Since 07/JUL/2023 E190 OO-TEA has been brought back into service ex-ANR.
And performing very well! #GE #CF34

Here you're mistaken, OO-ETB had an engine issue at ANR between 8 JUL around noon, till 9 JUL late morning, with only one flight on 8 JUL taken over by OO-JEF from BRU (and one morning flight on 9 JUL delayed at ANR by a few hours).

Sooner or later P&W's GTF problems will disappear.
And these GTF's on the E295 make it an impressively quiet aircraft (next to all the other ecological and efficiency improvements), underlining TUI Fly's efforts to reduce the ecological footprint of its fleet.
