Germany’s Economic Stabilisation Fund announced that all the remaining shares of its holding in Deutsche Lufthansa had been sold to various investors via an accelerated book-building process. The WSF last held around 6.2% of the company’s share capital. Lufthansa is fully back in private hands, with Klaus-Michael Kuehne rumoured to now hold a 17.5% stake.

I always thought that non profitable feeder flights were necessary to make long haul flights profitable (correct me if I am wrong, no problem)

The feeder flights are not cut, it’s just another try to reduce the losses.

Lufthansa's major shareholder, Klaus-Michael Kühne, may pick up another 2.5% stake in the carrier as he looks to get another board seat. He currently holds 15.01% of the shares through his company Kühne Aviation.

Air Dolomiti will be strengthened with two to three additional Embraer jets from Lufthansa Cityline. The Air Dolomiti fleet currently consists of 17 E195s.

Lufthansa has placed its Frankfurt and Munich feeder airline, dubbed “Cityline 2.0”, on hold as the company will not hire or train cockpit staff until 30 June 2023 due to ongoing talks with the pilots’ union. The 2.0 fleet would consist of about 40 aircraft.

Not a good idea imho. When in the past, airlines sold part of their activities, it usually meant they were financially in trouble without admitting it, like we are introduction new slim seats for your confort  Outsourcing usually means less pay and worse working conditions for the employees.
